That's difficult to understand for me because I love them both. The Assassination of Jesse James is a beautiful, atmospheric, revisionist western (my favorite kind) but Chopper is more shocking. I prefer the former though.

I haven't seen it yet. Bought it 3-4 months ago and it's still waiting on the shelf.

I've made myself start watching films regularly again - I was listening to scores a lot and watching hardly any movies, but then found I missed films.

I used to know what was coming out, read a lot about stuff and be generally interested. Not so much anymore. Maybe it'll come back, I don't know. What's weird it's not a matter of time. I've got plenty.

Maybe you have become more selective. I hardly know what is playing in theaters right now but I know the things that I must know and that matter to me: Tree Of Life is almost upon us, Andrew Dominik is making Cogan's Trade as we speak, Ridley Scott is finally doing a new science fiction and Zack Snyder is assigned to do a reboot of Superman.

And Barry Lyndon and Mad Men Season 4 will soon be released on Blu-ray.

I know how you feel. I used to be on top of everything when it came to cinema. Now I don't care anymore.

Was that supposed to be a parody of the Little Darth Vader commercial?

Will the pillaging and raping of the Classical mythology by the emptyheaded Hollywood productions never cease! :shakehead:

Am I the only one who's bored with a cliche sound design of the trailers. Are they all using the same library or what?

Let's not forget the same washed out look for all horror film previews with the same bland background for the credits at the end.

I don't have any feelings about the film.

I intend see the film, but I don't think that it be better than the 1982 film.

I thought he was creating something new? Never saw it as a reboot. Zack, yes, he's rebooting Supes, but Ridley? He's got 10 movies in pre-production with the same crew and Prometheus is one of them. Ridley is a friggin robot!

I can see a remake of Total Recall work in that serious Colin Farell/Ethan Hawke kinda way. Add some green coloring over it and we might have another good PKD adaptation.
