Jill Sandwich 10,825 Posted September 6, 2025 Posted September 6, 2025 I've never seen a decent movie adaptation of a video game.
Edmilson 11,810 Posted September 6, 2025 Posted September 6, 2025 The blockbusters that will come out in 2027. Avengers vs Superman vs Spider-Man vs Batman vs Sonic vs Star Wars vs LOTR vs Shrek vs Frozen vs Godzilla & Kong vs Legend of Zelda vs Jesus Christ. Which one will be the biggest titan of the year?
filmmusic 3,081 Posted September 6, 2025 Posted September 6, 2025 I love hand-drawn animation more than anything, but I'm sorry, this looks like a flash-animated film. Pity, I was interested in the subject, the story of Jesus. (I was always wondering how it would look in a great-looking animation film like The Prince of Egypt eg.) Naïve Old Fart 1
A24 5,043 Posted September 8, 2025 Posted September 8, 2025 "Ridley Scott is a titan of filmmaking and worldbuilding. See his cinematic visions back on the big screen with our career retrospective, screening at BFI Southbank and BFI IMAX from Sep-Oct."

The Prince of Egypt is a masterpiece, I'd love to see the story of Jesus Christ in that style.
Jay 45,403 Posted September 8, 2025 Posted September 8, 2025 Bryan Fuller (Wonderfalls, Pushing Daisies, Hannibal) has his first feature film coming out - Dust Bunny starring Mads Mikkelsen and Sigourney Weaver

Jay 45,403 Posted September 8, 2025 Posted September 8, 2025 Hopefully its better than Noah Hawley's movie
A24 5,043 Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 I liked Hannibal so I'm putting Dust Bunny on my list.
Jay 45,403 Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 I know nothing about Wuthering Heights (never read the book or any any of the endless film versions), but this new version with Margo Robbie and Jacob Elordi looks weird

Edmilson 11,810 Posted September 19, 2025 Posted September 19, 2025 New horror produced by Jordan Peele is getting some terrible reviews:
Edmilson 11,810 Posted September 22, 2025 Posted September 22, 2025 First poster for ‘RETURN TO SILENT HILL’ In theaters on January 23. I played SH2 Remake a few months ago, and I loved it. It could inspire an amazing psychological horror movie. But this movie doesn't seem to be it. Seems like a generic horror. A SH2 adaptation should be bolder, weirder, crazier, with an emphasis on psychological horror. Something David Lynch-like, but even more horrific and with a hint of David Fincher's Se7en to portray urban decay and abandoned landscapes as a metaphor for mental instability.

Jay 45,403 Posted September 26, 2025 Posted September 26, 2025 Not technically upcoming because its already out, but seemed to make more sense here than another thread (but maybe I'm overthinking it): Spike Jonze's latest movie is a "short" (33 minutes") film called "The Tiger", with an impressive cast: Demi Moore‘s first film role since her Oscar-nominated turn in “The Substance” is playing the matriarch of an alternative-reality Gucci family in Spike Jonze and Halina Reijn‘s trippy short “The Tiger.” In the 30-minute film — which premiered in Milan on Tuesday night to kick off fashion week — Moore portrays Barbara Gucci, the fictional head of Gucci International who also owns the state of California. To celebrate her birthday, Barbara throws a dinner party for her children (Edward Norton, Elliot Page and Keke Palmer) and a Vanity Fair journalist (Ed Harris) who is eager to see behind Barbara’s facade. But when psychedelics get involved, Barbara’s pristine reputation is threatened and the family is forced to confront their own imperfections. The cast of “The Tiger” also includes Alia Shawkat, Julianne Nicholson, Heather Lawless, Ronny Chieng, Kendall Jenner and Alex Consani. https://variety.com/2025/scene/global/demi-moore-spike-jonze-halina-reijn-gucci-film-the-tiger-1236527805/ Here it is
