Wow I don't remember that at all!

We'll surely rewatch them before the new one comes out

The older Jumanji at least had a great Horner score.

Henry Jackman's score for the Dwayne Johnson/Kevin Hart movies is a forgettable Alan Silvestri-wannabe.

I wouldn't put it that way.  She's at the point in her career where she can do "one for them, one for me"; IE, Jurassic World Rebirth was hardly for artistic merit but gave her a huge amount of income, and potential new franchise since they want to bring her back for the next one.  But then she gets to direct her own movies now, starting with Eleanor The Great.  And she did Kristin Scott Thomas's movie My Mother's Wedding likely as a favor and not expecting much money or accolades from it - plus she's one of Wes Anderon's latest muses

Also, Mike Flanagan is a good director.  I haven't seen Doctor Sleep, but I liked Gerald's Game, and his netflix show are pretty highly regarded from what I can tell

ScarJo seems to be saying yes to any old crap now that the Marvel money has dried up.

Just think of her as the next Michael Caine.

Another Exorcist sequel? Can't she do something small-scale like Lost In Translation

She literally just had My Mother's Wedding, The Phoenician Scheme, and Eleanor The Great all come out this year.

"IKEA Family" is a heartwarming yet chaotic comedy-drama about the dysfunctional Larsson clan, who unexpectedly inherit a sprawling IKEA superstore from a long-lost relative. The catch? To claim the inheritance, they must live inside the store for an entire month, surviving on meatballs from the cafeteria, assembling endless furniture pieces, and navigating the maze-like aisles while dealing with eccentric customers and midnight inventory mishaps.

As the family—led by the uptight patriarch Erik, his free-spirited wife Ingrid, their rebellious teen daughter Astrid, and quirky son Bjorn—bunks down in display bedrooms and hides in kitchen showrooms, old grudges resurface, secrets are revealed (like Erik's hidden talent for minimalist design), and unlikely alliances form. Amidst the flat-pack frenzy, they discover that building a family is a lot like assembling IKEA furniture: it takes patience, the right tools, and occasionally, a few missing screws.

Directed by Scandinavian auteur Joachim Trier, the film stars a mix of Hollywood and Nordic talent, blending slapstick humor with poignant moments about home, heritage, and hex keys. Runtime: 105 minutes. Rated PG-13 for mild assembly-related frustration.

If there's a private hell reserved for me for when I die, it'll be assembling IKEA furniture for eternity.

Trailer for Ready Or Not: Here I Come.

Sequel to the 2019 film. Looks fun.

They need to remove that 2 from the title though. It gets in the way of the phrase Ready Or Not, Here I Come

Ready Or Not was a fun movie!

It does not need a sequel.

Er, yeah... sorry @Tallguy, I meant to say "MIIIB is better than MIIB".

I can believe that. 2 was terrible. So I never saw 3.

For the 2 or 3 members of this forum who were 5 or younger in 2005:

I saw Madagascar after I saw Madagascar 3. 3 is genius. 1 is OK. 2 is everything you thought was wrong with Dreamworks animation in the 00's.

There's a line in one of the films where Ben Stiller is looking at a replica of New York City and mentioning that Times Square has a "sanitized lack of character". Now I know that he was in the back seat of one of the cars when they were filming The Taking of Pelham 123. So he just means "crime".

I also think the 3rd one is the best. It's completely over the top and half of it doesn't really makes sense, but I think it's very very funny.

DuBois is a great villain and actually brings some stakes.

Jennifer Lawrence to Return for Hunger Games Prequel

I'm oddly fascinated with these books and films. Not sure Lawrence can be much more of a framing device though, given that as I recall the book takes place some 25 years before The Hunger Games.

I saw the first one in the cinema and hated every single second of it.
