Ok, so it's not ENEMY MINE, but it still has a talking stone :)

Both are kids movies.

It’s so disappointing that Jordan Vogt-Roberts isn’t directing the live action anymore

Finally!  This is directed by Jorma Taccone of The Lonely Island;  This is the film he was filming in Finland in the early day of the pod, when he got Olyphant to appear on it

I'm kinda surprised Jorma isn't a big enough name to be called out on the poster

I have no idea who Taccone is. Had to look him up. I only know Saturday Night Live and Palm Springs, which I've never seen. Other than that, no clue...

He likes sports and he don't care who knows

I wonder if I'm the only quaid here

New film about D-Day. Cast includes Brendan Fraser (as General Eisenhower), Andrew Scott, Kerry Condon & Damian Lewis.

Trailer is really tense

I've never seen Peaky Blinders, but a film continuation of the show is coming to theaters 12 days from now

I'm glad you weren't too burrito-brained to tell me!

Sound off in the comments Hit us in the tittus

I think Taccone's only name-level recognition, if any, is in association with The Lonely Island. Plus he's not starring in or writing Over Your Dead Body, and neither of his directorial efforts were hits....including Popstar which had The Lonely Island brand going for it. I think he's "TV famous" at most, he's only the Alvin of the group in his mind ;)

Yeah, even though they were a big part of an golden era, I guess Kiv and Jorm were more behind the scenes since Andy was the only Alvin in the cast with Seth's teeth.

What I find so boring about these dinosaur documentaries is that it always seems to be just about hunting, fighting, killing. As if an animal's life were just about that.

Oh, I didn't know a Heat 2 film is being prepared!

I still haven't seen 1!

By the way, is this film something that you (plural) would recommend to someone that loves action/thriller films? Or maybe it involves long boring/slow parts too?

Asking for someone else..

Hard to think of very many films that would be more essential viewing for someone that loves action/thriller films.

Rectify that, post haste!

It's one of the finest films of the 90s, with a searing ending.

It depends, of course. Does this person like Miami Vice machoism? If so, then yes, it's a must-see!

I don't know..

Anyway, I think I'll watch it first, and if I like it and think it's something that he might like, I will suggest it.

@filmmusic, this person might want to watch L.A. TAKEDOWN, of which HEAT is a remake.

Oh? Michael Mann made a remake of his own film?

I hadn't heard this again.

But I bet Heat would be better. After all it's so acclaimed I see.
