Ollie 859
I wish they would do that here in the US but it still wouldn't stop people with cell phones.Unless they had an usher walk around with a taser.......
Kendal_Ozzel 32
Cool. Definitely a step in the right direction. But the counterargument makes sense too—that being a disruptive a-hole is not age exclusive. I would love to have been able to go to a properly managed theater when I was 15.Let's hope this does spread to the 'States, and not just in LA/NY. Quintus 5,391
One thing's certain, I'd have probably enjoyed Wall-E a whole lot more if it weren't for those pesky (noisy) kids!
Kendal_Ozzel 32
I'd have enjoyed Rambo more if not for the mother chasing her toddler back and forth through the empty front aisles of the theater. (Did I mention this was Rambo?)

Red 73
A good idea definitely. It doesn't solve all of the major problems of the cinema but it does relieve one of the worst: little kids talking and walking around during movies, especially in ones that they shouldn't even be seeing in the first place (you know, mature movies). John Crichton 4
Unfortunately those over 18 can be just as annoying. But weeding out the kids is a very good start. As fake JWFan President I endorse this for all American theaters.
JoeinAR 1,759
I don't care if they do that here, I really don't have many bad experiences in movies, oh there are a few but none that really stand out.

Nick Parker 3,017
Should I take any form of offense to this? However, even I can understand the reasons behind this, as illustrated by my first viewing of "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull". Some morons were in the front row using cell phones that had VERY powerful LCD displays. In a humorous and annoying moment, a man over the age of 40 commanded the teenagers the turn off their phones- and he was at the "nosebleed" seats, as my Pap Pap likes to call them. And about time too :spiny:Hell yeah - in my local cinema they let kids into absolutely any movie regardless of age....it has been reported but ntohing ever seems to get done....Bring it on!! artyjeffrey 20
Definitely, there are lousy adult movie goers. I remember when I saw The Mummy, and this couple sat behind me, and I am NOT kidding, the woman was translating every bit of dialogue into Spanish for the guy. I had to get up and move away from them. People are lame.
Taikomochi 783
For my sake, I hope it doesn't come to the States for at least 2 years. I only see R-Rated films anyways. Is it only over 18? Or can it be under 18 with a guardian? IF not with the guardian, I find that very unfair.

AC1 3,565
Should I take any form of offense to this? Yes, you should! To show respect for the film or the audience watching it has nothing to do with age. Alex

Mr. Breathmask 480
My point being that I've encountered plenty of dumbasses much older than 18 at the movies.
Ollie 859
As long as there are showings of the same film that allow all ages I have no problem with a theatre setting aside screenings that set an age limit for those who may wish to not worry about screaming babies and little kids and noisy teenagers.
