Vaderbait1 1
My God, for once I don't have serious issues with a "100" list, and it comes from Rolling Stone? My least favorite magazine ever? Amazing!I do think Bob Dylan is among the worst singers in history, though, so I guess I take issue with that.I don't know about the rankings, how do you even judge singing in different categories? But I agree with most of the people on there.
Williamsfan301 11
That is a good list. About the only people I don't think belong are Bjork (she a personality, not a singer) and Kurt Cobain (no one would care about him if he hadn't put a bullet to his brain). But, man, thank GOD for Motown, huh? Bryant Burnette 451
Lots of people cared about Kurt Cobain before he killed himself. Nirvana was and is one of the most influential rock groups to ever make music. But ranking him as one the 100 best singers seems iffy.
Maestro 57
If Mary J Blige deserves a spot on that list, then Chris Martin does as well.

Williamsfan301 11
If Mary J Blige deserves a spot on that list, then Chris Martin does as well. And if Elton John goes on there, then so should Billy Joel, honestly.I'm ticked that Tony Bennett isn't on there! That's just a sacralige!

I can't even explain how much I hate his song "You're Beautiful". And if Elton John goes on there, then so should Billy Joel, honestly.True. Koray Savas 2,095
I do think Bob Dylan is among the worst singers in history, though, so I guess I take issue with that.A lot of people seem to think differently.
JoeinAR 1,759
it is a horrible list, to many r&b singers at the top and the bob dylan #7, it destroys all its credibility, the man is awful, as is robert plant, ugh.Johnny cash is a great entertainer, with a unique, but not great voice. Bjork, bono(the big turd), great singers, no.
Koray Savas 2,095
Bob Dylan belongs in the Top 10. And Robert Plant is great.
pixie_twinkle 44
Nice to see Bowie in the top 25, but where on earth is Sinatra??? He should be number 1! Glaring omission there.P.S. I think Dylan deserves his place in the top 10. Sorry Joey
JoeinAR 1,759
you guys have lousy taste, he's a f'ing horrible singer. Horrible. Aretha #1 is a joke too.maybe they meant top 100 screamers, or mumblers?
Nick Parker 3,017
Who, Frank Sinatra, or that other guy? If you are referring to the former: I have no tolerance of Sinatra-haters. And if you are referring to the latter: whatever, I never listened to him. Go about your business.

Wojo 2,442
No David Gilmour and no Roger Waters in the list, though Waters was a voter.I think we're getting this "singer" list confused with what we want a "singer/songwriter" list to be. Which is why people want Dylan higher or lower, or Billy Joel at all. They were both better songwriters and musicians than they were singers. Marian Schedenig 5,520
Is Dave Gilmore in it? He's got a great raspy voice, very powerful and quite unique.I rather missed Gilmour in the list. He sounds rather flat in the early Floyd recordings, but in his recent live concerts he has an impressively full voice.
