indy4 152
I had no idea that Roddenberry's wife was in Star Trek. This is very sad indeed. RIP!
Lurker 5
At the 2006 Vegas convention I got to ask her while she was on stage, that even though she was enjoying her retirement would she do the computer voice for the new movie if J.J. Abrams asked her to. She said yes and the room erupted with applause. I also got to talk to her in the dealers room. A customer at my store in New Jersey said he was her former assistant and I just wanted to confirm that with her. She was really very nice and will be missed.I may have to watch "What Are Little Girls Made Of?" soon.Neil
Trent B 317
Awww crap. She'll always be remembered as Nurse Chapel, Lwaxana Troi and the computer voice for the starships from TNG forward.R.I.P. Mrs. Roddenberry.

Williamsfan301 11
Wow. I had no idea she was suffering from Leukemia. She was a great actress - she played Lwaxana Troi so well. She'll be missed.

Wojo 2,442
This was posted to YouTube in September as a loving tribute to a great woman. It's quite good, and has been made much more poignant today.
indy4 152
That was really a great tribute. The Captain's Log at the end fit suprisingly well with this situation.

John Crichton 4
Very sad news. I'm not much of a Next Gen fan, but I love DS9 and she had several very good appearances as Mrs. Troi there too. She and Odo were a great team.As far as I know she'd already recorded all her dialouge for the new movie.
JoeinAR 1,759
She was also in that very bizarre but sometimes interesting series Earth Final Conflict as Dr.Belman.I just read she was born in 1939 and 1932 which would put her age at 69 and 76. One is right and the other is wrong.my understanding is Star Trek is complete, its just waiting to be released.
