Ollie 859
Totally hate it! Where was the zero stars option?I concur. Totally, totally awful.I'm with these guys. Since very little is actually Thorne's music ("Honneymoon Hotel"? I'd rather listen to "Lex's Luau") I would give it a big fat zero. Why don't you ask people to rate the score to the Richard Donner cut? You might get a very different response... I've no idea who decided to place what music where in "Superman II" (John Victor Smith, perhaps?) but they should be shot! The music selection in the Donner cut isn't worth talking about. I don't care for some of the choices they made. To me taking previously recorded music and slapping it over scenes is worse than re-recording and adjusting for tempo etc etc.Thorne did a damn good job of adapting Williams' music considering he had less to work with and didn't have the freedom he did on Superman III.Hell Ottman had the budget and the time and still couldn't make Williams' music sound good. Trent B 317
Hell Ottman had the budget and the time and still couldn't make Williams' music sound good. That's the most ridiculous statement I've read from you Mark. In my opinion Ottman did a good job with Williams themes. Those of you who think other wise...well I feel sorry for you.
