Two iconic Williams classics. Not much more need be said.

2nd round polls will be open 3 days initially, since that's when pretty much all the votes in the 1st round were. If they're close I'll extend it to 5 days.

This one is hard.

But I would have to go with the Force Theme. More original, and has more of an impact on me.

But this one's really hard. For me, it's like 49,5 : 50,5 (Flying Theme : Force Theme).

The Force Theme. Although it has a slight advantage, as JW has had 6 films to really play with it and give us tons of awesome variations.

The Force theme. It is a perfect theme in every way, and I think it'll probably end up winning the tournament after all.

The Force Theme is fantastic. So versatile and moving. It is my favorite from all of the Star Wars scores.

Of course the force theme (I will quote now an earlier post of me partially^^)

This is the most developed Star Wars theme and i think a perfect example what you can do with a music theme just through new arrangements.

Check out:

Episode IV

hopeful and sentimental version: Dawn at the Lar's Farm

mystic version: Scene in Obi Wans hood on Tattooine

epic coronation version: Throneroom celebration

Episode V

longer mystic version: End of TESB

Episode VI

epic dramatic version: Death of the Emperor

epic sad version: Burning of Vader

Episode I

sad and powerful version: Anakin's Goodbye

sad version: Mix of Force Theme with Funeral March

Episode II

epic departing version: departing coruscant

epic battle version: Gunship at Battle of Geonosis

Episode III

militaristic epic battle version: Start of Episode 3

militaristic lush approaching version: Going to Utapau

epic dramatic choral version: Battle of the Heroes

Once again hopeful and sentimental version: Ending of Episode3

That's of course just a small overview and maybe you can add additional versions

Nice overview! You're right, the Force Theme gets exercised more than any other theme in the SW saga.

In ROTJ right after Luke throws his lightsaber away and he's become a Jedi, there's this subtle fantastic statement of the Force Theme. I love the Flying Theme, but it doesn't make the hairs stand quite as well as the theme from SW.

For me, there's little else in cinema that can quite replicate the frisson of excitement I feel when E.T. and Elliot take flight, and the orchestra erupts in exultation.
