Olivier 5
http://www.moviemusic.com/search/year.asp?1987Thanks for this link! (incomplete, but useful)Blazing Saddles (Morris)Chinatown (Goldsmith)La Cloche Thibétaine (Delerue)Conrack (Williams-- love it, pity we have so little of it)Earthquake (Williams)The Four Musketeers (Schifrin)Gold (Bernstein-- don't kow yet if it's great, but it's just been released!)The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (Rózsa)High Velocity (great or not, I'm not going to leave out a Goldsmith)QB VII (Goldsmith)McQ (great or not, I like it)The Sting (Marvin Hamlisch, Scott Joplin-- a masterpiece of a movie)The Super Cops (Fielding-- not one of the greatest scores ever, but very cool)The Taking of Pelham One, Two, Three (Shire)The Towering Inferno (Wililams)Winter Kill (not exactly one of the greatest, but the main title definitely is great)Yes, I do have all of these. (plus Schifrin's score for the Planet of the Apes TV series, which I almost included)

John Crichton 4
I've never heard Dracula. Any good?Yes. It's a very good score but has never had a really satisfactory release. The only CD release was a 1990 Varese reissue of the old LP, a very short album that left off a lot of music and has poor sound quality. Other than the obvious this is my #1 choice for an expanded Williams release.
Richard Penna 2,082
Ah, so you're not referring to Kilar's score. I've only heard Williams' score from the track on the 40 Years release and it was decent, but there's something so isolated and strangely beautiful about Kilar's one. Although I admit I found it when the tracks "The Beginning" and (the absolutely heavenly "Ascension" were used in Top Gear.

Am I supposed to be impressed???1985 and 1987 were both better by far! The first 4 are very good scores. So far neither has fully impressed me. They're pretty good, but they're no classics in my book.1985: Back to the Future, Flesh & Blood, Silverado, Young Sherlock Holmes, King Solomon's Mines, Rambo: First Blood Part II1987: Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, Robocop, Lionheart^ I prefer all those scores. And 1985 is particularly good!
