In most films, no. In some films yes.

Just because one makes a film does not mean they have made art.

If someone disagrees then I give them Uwe Boll

Yes. Definitely and without a doubt. JW is the artist I relate to more than any other.

To answer my own question: I am not really sure where I stand. While one could certainly make the argument that film is an art form, and thus all film is intrinsically art, one could also make the argument about the quality of film, as Joey did with Uwe Boll a few posts up. I guess it is in the eye of the beholder, as I believe the phrase goes....
