Otherwise, feel free to move it to "Off Topic".So, based on the "Quick Question" thread, people here either don't know who Shakira is, or they have a severe misunderstanding of who she is.We'll start with the basics:- Was born poor in Colombia on February 2nd, 1977.- Is part Colombian, part Lebanese.- Has been singing and dancing her whole life.- Has a very high IQ.- Writes and produces all of her own music.- Founded a charity called "Pies Descalzos" (Bare Feet) when she was 18, for poor children in South America. Several schools have been built through the foundation.- Has a new album coming out this year.Now, the general opinion of Shakira is that she isn't really a singer, she is more of a sexy bellydancer. Well, she does bellydance quite well (as a tribute to her Lebanese blood), but she actually does sing quite well. (John Williams (and Giacchino... and baños...) is the only one in my heart ) I have never heard anything from her 'consciously' or deliberately. I just know who she was and how she sounds...
