Jay 42,262
Interesting. I wonder if the pilot will re-tell the events of (the beginning of?) the movie with different actors, or if it will be a sequel that continues the story from where the movie ends. chuck 155
It would be cool if Bob De Niro will have a role in this.Btw, check out the accidental "blunder" for a Once Upon A Time promo:http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/10/07/once-upon-promo-blunder-snow-whites-magic-crotch/That's truly a portal to Wonderland. Jay 42,262
Brooklyn Nine-Nine 1x02 The Tagger Glad the Jake/Amy romance was dropped. Funny storyline with the tagger and the result of who it was. The receptionist on this show is pretty funny! Modern Family 5x03 Larry's Wife Typical Cam blowup, no surprise. Mitch's scenes were over the top as well. Phil was hilarious with all the divorcees. The poker subplot was just odd all around, and kinda poorly written. Nice to see Diane Farr, odd that her character's name was Diane. Mindy Project 2x03 Music Festival Just odd all around. The resolution to the Paster Casey storyline was... odd and poorly handled. I get that Mindy needs to date a bunch of people for a few seasons before ending up with Danny, but... I mean she was engaged to this one and moved to Haiti for him, you can't just write him off in one episode. That actor was good even though I didn't like him with Mindy at all his entire arc. Saturday Night Live 39x02 Miley Cyrus / Miley Cyrus Surprisingly not bad. Miley Cyrus can actually act, and didn't stare at cue cards at all. Her music is abyssmal, of course. Glad she was willing to make fun of herself so much.

Jay 42,262
The Neighbors 2x03 The NeighborsForgot to mention last time, that I loooove the new opening theme song. It's perfect for the show! In fact, one of the things I love about the show that they sort of organically grew towards is all the meta self-aware-ness of being a TV show. Like this week's "You thought it was Jackie's story, but I'm the one who grew!". Good stuff. Good to see Dawn from the original The Office again too! An entire episode without any of the Weaver children, too!
A24 4,788
I watched an episode of Star Trek The Next Generation on TV and I was shocked to discover that it felt as 'dated' as the original Star Trek with Kirk & Spock. The episode was about the difference between cultures (the aliens were downright traditional Africans). In a way, it truly captured the spirit of the original show.Alex
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,858
First Season TNG feels very much like classic Trek. Gene Roddenberry had full creative control then.Subsequent seasons would be much much better

Jay 42,262
New Girl 3x04 The Captain Possibly the worst show of the episode ever. Bad plot, bad jokes, out of character acting. Schmidt telling Jessica what Nick liked in bed and Jessica doing it was just... pedestrian cliched sitcom rubbish. Wth? I really liked where the show was going in season 2, until they end where Nick and Jessica got together, and now it's just terrible with them together. Too soon, New Girl, too soon. Jay 42,262
Homeland 3x02 Uh...Oh...Ah There continues to be no reason at all to show the Brody family, but they do it anyway. That was the least interesting storyline of the episode. Next was Carrie and Saul's new situation. what the hell? In 2 episodes they've reduced Carrie to a rambling wreck out of the CIA after she theoretically got a huge promotion in between season 2 and 3. Didn't we already do a "Carrie doesn't work for the CIA any more" storyline in Season 2? Why are we doing this again? What's so hard about just making the show be about carrie and Saul working together and hunting bad guys? The best parts of the show were them pursuing the lead of the international bank to find the next terrorist up on the chain. They should be doing more of that stuff. Stuff like that actually makes you think about how in real life there are banks that must funnel terrorist money like this and take their cut. We need more of this stuff on the show. Quinn is a one-man save-everything show again.

Quintus 5,638
I put the very first episode of Breaking Bad on last night, just to see how much everyone and everything had changed. Well, I wasn't expecting it to be quite so high in immediate rewatchibility factor. I absolutely loved it again. I've not had an entertainment appeal to me directly like that since my old LotR movies obsession. I used to watch them or parts of almost every day for about three years (sad I know). Think I'll probably have to just carry on now and watch the whole thing again.
