What is the last Television series you watched?

Interesting. I wonder if the pilot will re-tell the events of (the beginning of?) the movie with different actors, or if it will be a sequel that continues the story from where the movie ends.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine 1x02 The Tagger

Glad the Jake/Amy romance was dropped. Funny storyline with the tagger and the result of who it was. The receptionist on this show is pretty funny!

Modern Family 5x03 Larry's Wife

Typical Cam blowup, no surprise. Mitch's scenes were over the top as well. Phil was hilarious with all the divorcees. The poker subplot was just odd all around, and kinda poorly written. Nice to see Diane Farr, odd that her character's name was Diane.

Mindy Project 2x03 Music Festival

Just odd all around. The resolution to the Paster Casey storyline was... odd and poorly handled. I get that Mindy needs to date a bunch of people for a few seasons before ending up with Danny, but... I mean she was engaged to this one and moved to Haiti for him, you can't just write him off in one episode. That actor was good even though I didn't like him with Mindy at all his entire arc.

Saturday Night Live 39x02 Miley Cyrus / Miley Cyrus

Surprisingly not bad. Miley Cyrus can actually act, and didn't stare at cue cards at all. Her music is abyssmal, of course. Glad she was willing to make fun of herself so much.

The Neighbors 2x03 The Neighbors

Forgot to mention last time, that I loooove the new opening theme song. It's perfect for the show! In fact, one of the things I love about the show that they sort of organically grew towards is all the meta self-aware-ness of being a TV show. Like this week's "You thought it was Jackie's story, but I'm the one who grew!". Good stuff. Good to see Dawn from the original The Office again too! An entire episode without any of the Weaver children, too!

I watched an episode of Star Trek The Next Generation on TV and I was shocked to discover that it felt as 'dated' as the original Star Trek with Kirk & Spock. The episode was about the difference between cultures (the aliens were downright traditional Africans). In a way, it truly captured the spirit of the original show.

New Girl 3x04 The Captain

Possibly the worst show of the episode ever. Bad plot, bad jokes, out of character acting. Schmidt telling Jessica what Nick liked in bed and Jessica doing it was just... pedestrian cliched sitcom rubbish. Wth? I really liked where the show was going in season 2, until they end where Nick and Jessica got together, and now it's just terrible with them together. Too soon, New Girl, too soon.

Homeland 3x02 Uh...Oh...Ah

There continues to be no reason at all to show the Brody family, but they do it anyway. That was the least interesting storyline of the episode. Next was Carrie and Saul's new situation. what the hell? In 2 episodes they've reduced Carrie to a rambling wreck out of the CIA after she theoretically got a huge promotion in between season 2 and 3. Didn't we already do a "Carrie doesn't work for the CIA any more" storyline in Season 2? Why are we doing this again? What's so hard about just making the show be about carrie and Saul working together and hunting bad guys?

The best parts of the show were them pursuing the lead of the international bank to find the next terrorist up on the chain. They should be doing more of that stuff. Stuff like that actually makes you think about how in real life there are banks that must funnel terrorist money like this and take their cut. We need more of this stuff on the show. Quinn is a one-man save-everything show again.

The League 5x05 The Bye Week

Wow, what a bounce-back from the previous week! Almost everything was good this week, this was a classic episode. Good to see Ruxin back, as well as Sofia (How does she get more attractive every year?), and of course all the other main characters after their absence last week. Taco's Truck

Brooklyn Nine-Nine 1x03 The Slump

Funny, show has been pretty consistent so far!

I just saw the season finale of the 1st season of Boss. Powerful and chilling.

I put the very first episode of Breaking Bad on last night, just to see how much everyone and everything had changed. Well, I wasn't expecting it to be quite so high in immediate rewatchibility factor. I absolutely loved it again. I've not had an entertainment appeal to me directly like that since my old LotR movies obsession. I used to watch them or parts of almost every day for about three years (sad I know).

Think I'll probably have to just carry on now and watch the whole thing again.

Heh, praise doesn't get much bigger than this: http://theverge.com/2013/10/14/4837394/anthony-hopkins-calls-breaking-bad-confidence-restoring-epic-work

Scroll down to Hopkins' letter!

The Welsh master knows his shit, and just what a kind gesture.

Couldn't decide what to watch the other night, so, quite randomly, started Doctor Who starring Christopher Eccleston on Netlix (first three episodes). It was quite entertaining, actually.

Next thing : Motel Bates.

It's not perfect or high art, but its quite enjoyable to watch. I was surprised by it (went in with low expectations). I think it's pretty underrated.

So I've heard, but never appealed to me. Looks pretty stupid, and not in a way that looks like it'll engage my interests.

I've heard that like so many of the ace American shows it takes a couple of seasons to find its groove and then REALLY gets good.

Nah, the first season is the best, then it just gets worse and worse with every year. We haven't even bothered to watch season 6 yet and they've announced next year's season 7 will be the last.

Isn't True Blood supposed to be great popcorn tv? I keep meaning to give it a go.

I find it terribly boring. All the nudity can't make it any less yawn-inducing.

And aside from Anna Paquin, the acting isn't much either.

So I went though Amazon Prime and made a list of all the shows on there that I would like to watch. I will finish off Fringe now that the last season is available for free, but what should I go through next?

Alias

American Horror Story

Firefly

Justified

The Planets

Sherlock

Sons Of Anarchy

The Tudors

The Universe
