What is the last Television series you watched?

Watched the first two episodes of Revolution. Another frustrating tv series which has a really intriguing pitch but is again completely undone and ruined by dreadfully cringy production and style. Everyone is beautiful (even the slaves), dressed in GAP's latest season gear and then there is the absolutely risible product placement - fifteen years after the apocalypse ("why do you have an iPhone?" - actual line of dialogue). Could have been solid sci-fi adventure but instead it's lowest common denominator glossy shite for Smallville/New Girl/Ugly Betty crowd. 1/5

No way! You have yet to behold the glorious neck and forehead lines on ageing Bryan Cranston in HD. It's those unflattering imperfections which make characters and their drama feel authentic and convincing. Part of Dame Judy's appeal is her craggy gravitas, her roles feel real and down to earth - in no small part due to the sympathetic crows feet.

The producers of Revolution have aimed it squarely at the image conscious/obsessed consumer. These guys on the screen are for people to fancy and gawp at. I just find it completely unbelievable, which as I said is frustrating because the central idea could have been great tv.

An adventure which gets the aesthetics much closer to my own personal ideal is The Walking Dead. Good looking people, sure. But they're not fucking incredibly well dressed Vogue models.

The Ghost Squad

It's a fitfully enjoyable UK procedural, but it lacks the urgency and energy of MI5/Spooks or brings anything new to the table. And I have to give credit to the creators for letting Elaine Cassidy be front-and-center here. She's not conventionally attractive, and she kinda reminds me of Orphan Black's Tatiana Maslany for that reason. She brings a sense of empathy, inexperience and world-weariness to the role that makes her believable.

I'm a bit disappointed Jonas Armstrong didn't have more to do, though. He and Emma Fielding are just there to provide emotional support and debrief Cassidy's character on her upcoming assignments. Looking back, it's no wonder it was cancelled after seven episodes though.

So I'm flipping through the channels and I stop on CBS' Mom. I recognize the voice of Badger from Breaking Bad, played by Matt Jones. He offers his ex Anna Faris coffee with Stevia, but she'll prefer it black. Is that honestly a hidden reference to the show, or am I just hoping? Time to flip.

I haven't. Other than Family Guy, Amazing Race ,Survivor and the news, I don't watch much TV anymore. I replaced it with my gaming

the last scripted show I followed is LOST

Am I the only person on this board who has not seen a single episode of either Game Of Thrones or Breaking Bad?

You should check them out, they are fantastically written and acted.

The only GoT that I've watched is the seventeen minutes of Tyrion slapping Joffrey to Achilles' Last Stand. But I have a friend who'll loan me their first two seasons to watch, so it's on the distant radar.

Watching DAMAGES Season 4 and BOARDWALK EMPIRE Season 4, episode 12 had a fistfight that should make every man proud of being a man.

Right after seeing PHILOMENA (which is a rather good movie) i am about to delve into another Alan-Partridge season.

If I had a pound for every time my brother told me to "get fucking started" on Sons of Anarchy I'd have eleven pound. Reading this just now I think it's finally time: http://www.denofgeek.us/tv/sons-of-anarchy/188546/sons-of-anarchy-the-most-overlooked-drama-since-the-shield

Apparently it only found its groove after a couple of seasons and then suddenly got quite brilliant.

I think Gloin was being facetious Steef.

Oh I'll be watching intently!

I know the words that normally come after that glare and it'll be quite novel to see Doctor Who shouting, "get fucked, you big. Gay. SHITE!"

It actually shuffles around the characters from the series, so another scottish rogue from the series becomes a whiny minister in this. The amount of angry shouting is commendable.
