What is the last Television series you watched?

No. He passed away sometime in the nineties. Someone will look it up just to correct me if I'm wrong. But I remember watching him as a child, and he even parodied himself on Bill Nye's show when he showed how the happy little rods and cones work in the eye. He has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity on the Internet recently, as his old videos are sold or streamed, and other merchandise is also sold.

Every time I see a beautiful sunrise or sunset that takes my breath away, I know Bob Ross is up there, arranging the colors.

Anyone watch Person of Interest? It hasn't arrived in the UK yet, but it's supposed to be outstanding, containing what some are calling the best single episode of any tv drama this year - which is saying a heck of a lot when I think of the AMAZING penultimate episode of Game of Thrones and the entire second half of Breaking Bad's final season. It's CBS and it's rated very highly within its growing cult following. I might have to check it out.

I thought Alexcremers said CBS doesn't make good tv? Who is right, him or the online write-ups?

Hobbit and Lord of the Rings movies are long, Steef. He's only got time for little Bob Ross sketches in between viewings.

Jesus you are embarassing.

You don't know sh*t about me, so please consider stopping the trash talk.

Oh dont worry. I've never had the slightest bit of interest in him. One of the least interesting members, or would be except for the saving grace of the ridiculousness of his contributions at times.

You are still amongst my favs, petal!

I've never seen Person of Interest, but I'm sure it's better than most of the dreck on CBS, but worse than the best of the dramas on cable.

POI has an interesting premise (takes a cue from Minority Report), and JJ Abrams and Jonathan Nolan's fingerprints are all over it. It doesn't really grab my attention, but the three leading actors are good in it.

Alex???

Netflix finally added the second season of American Horror Story to its streaming lineup, aptly titled "Asylum". Overall a very good season of television and definitely a worthy successor to the first season. They only issue I had is that they tried to cram a little too much into this season. As a result it didn't feel as cohesive; contained a few too many subplots.

Great acting again all around. This show certainly stands out.

it's superior in every way to the first and third season, though both are excellent in their own right. It's finale was surprisingly uplifting and so satisfying.

Ken Burns/Lynn Novick's PBS documentary Prohibition. I like Ken Burns' straightforward style. He doesn't do the modern style of TV documentary where every scene is accompanied by ominous music and a sinister voiceover suggesting imminent apocalypse, just in case the skillful delivery of interesting information isn't enough to prevent the typical viewer from dropping dead of boredom...

The Bold and the Beautiful Volume 2.

It's hilarious seeing this lot so much younger when this show first aired in 1987. The subplot about Beth Logan's relationship with Eric Forrester when they were in college seems to be taking a while to unfold, but this will ultimately lead to Brooke's imminent meeting with Ridge through her mother's catering job.

This set ends with a cliffhanger as granny Logan had been attacked in her house by a robber. Therefore poor Donna got the blame for not being there when she should have been. But I have no idea when volume 3 will be available!

That's ridiculous! My soap was the only good soap ever made!

OMG Alex chose a popular but shitty show. And it was a CBS show to boot.

Of course, it's a shitty show, but's it the only good shitty soap ever made. For Pete's sake, we are talking soaps, so 'shitty' is bound to be right around the corner. Really, Joey, you are taking all this way too seriously. My god ...
