Both are wearing black, have troubled pasts, are cold and cruel sometimes, have exceptional talents and skills and turn out to be good in the very end. Which (movie) character do you like better? So from what I've seen so far from the films, I'd vote Vader without a second thought. If I were voting film Vader against book Snape...I don't know. Now I vote Vader, though that might change in the future. Snape I think is one of the most powerful on screen characters of the past few years.
