indy4 152
I saw a group of walkmen available for purchase in a drug store the other day, I had almost forgotten about them completely. Made me wonder how most people listen to their music.I checked iPod, computer, and stereo.

Nick Parker 3,017
Portable CD and cassette players, and a stereo that can only play cassettes. It is so much fun to blast Dracula out of it....
King Mark 2,924
cassettes? You still live in the last century?K.M.who had dreadful memory of these contraptions
Nick Parker 3,017
I just figured out why you hate cassettes, king mark, they are unreliable pieces of junk. The "tape" in my Dracula cassette just unraveled, the first time that has ever happened to me. There are not many instances in which I am tempted to break my "no profanity" rule, but I can say with absolute certainty that this is one of those instances. There would not be any way to fix the cassette, would there?"Nick", now really hoping for a new Dracula release

Datameister 1,394
Pretty hard to fix a cassette, Clark. Better off just buying a CD and backing it up in lossless format on your computer. Much better listening experience!
Nick Parker 3,017
Yeah, all for the low, low price of $1,000,000,000! I would not buy the cassette if I could buy the CD, you know.

Charlie Brigden 5
If I'm doing something at the same time, computer or ipod, if I want to actually listen with no distractions I go to my office where the stereo is.

Wojo 2,442
If the magnetic tape of the cassette is still attached to both spindles and isn't ripped or torn, you should be able to wind it back up and have it still be playable. There's no guarantees that the sound quality would still be the same, but an audio cassette is a lot easier to wind back up than a video cassette. Datameister 1,394
Ah, I remember having to do that a few times back in the day. Highly annoying, but worth it.
Trent B 317
Ahh damn it, I forgot to check "Computer/iTunes" since I do listen to my music from my iPod while it's connected through my computer. I also listen to my iPod as stand a lone when I'm at school and taking the bus to and from school. If I'm riding with my dad in the car I will plop in one of my burned CD-R's that him and I listen to. I'll also take my iPod in the store with me and listen to my music while we're shopping.Edit: Wow I'm surprised someone still uses a Cassette player. I haven't used one of those in years. I am surprised to, that I still see people walking around with actual portable CD players. All though most students at campus have an iPod and it's rare I will see one with an actual portable CD player.
Quintus 5,391
My top quality stereo system collects dust whilst my pc continues to be my main source of music. Other than that I listen to commercial radio (BBC Radio 1 & 2). I don't own an mp3 player, but probably will eventually, when I need one.
