I've always thought that, if no pianist is credited and it's a (more or less) solo piece, then it must be JW playing the piano.

I'm also curious to know who played the themes for Angelas's Ashes and Sabrina...

I am sure it's almost never JW himself. Most of the recent scores it's Randy Kerber and there was another guy that regularly did the piano solos for JW.

No, he played Over the Moon and Theme from Schindler's List (reprise).

Are you sure? I dont; think that;s in the liner notes.

Can you blame me?

You'll be first in line to check out the new film.

My plan has worked....BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

Yeah, cause you've had more to do with his than Goldsmith and the Shat.

Speaking of JFK, wasn't someone working on a complete score at some point?

Do you mean an ILLEGAL BOOTLEG?

If I were you, I would be more discreet.

Way to be discreet yourself!

The person in question was merely recording the rear channels of the DVD and combining with the OST for their own personal collection. I don't BELIEVE that's illegal (as long as they OWN the OST and OWN the DVD).

Sadly it is ilegal, the warning in the start of every DVD (and VHS) says thay the film and its soundtrack is copyrighted and cannot be 'ripped' in any way.

That's not true. It is perfectly legal for you to rip a DVD that you own to your hard drive and burn yourself a backup copy of it. It's just not kosher to give that backup to anybody else.

So creating your own expanded score made out of materials that you own should be legal too. As long as you don't distribute it.

i thought that lately the labels were looking after making backup copies illegal.

The anti-copy devices are there for a reason... (lets face it, a pirate will end ripping the thing, so the protection is more or less useless, but the usual customer must resort to hacking in order to make a backup copy)

Then why is it against the board rules to discuss how to rip DVDs or link to programs that can do it? Banned discussion of how to rip DVDs + banned discussion of bootlegs = no discussion whatsoever of DVD rips.
