Jay 37,352
Jaws, Jaws 2, Star Wars, CE3K and Superman are excluded. And its only for post-Jaws scores cause I said so I think this is the most interesting of the 4 polls, but The Fury will probably win. I personally only have the last 3 in my collection, and like them all.As always, you are voting on the ENTIRE score, not just whatever portions have been officially released.80's Poll90's Poll00's Poll
Nick Parker 3,040
I am wondering if Black Sunday and Family Plot should be included at all, as they have yet to receive a release outside of a suite of some sort. I own the bottom three as well, and I will have to vote for The Fury.EDIT: Hey, Jason, what about Close Encounters of the Third Kind?

I thought excluding them would make the polls more interesting.

pete 907
From that list I'd go with The Fury as well. We're lucky to have two versions including the brilliant Epilogue. As much as I like th rest, The Fury just strikes me as a more complex and varied work. Wojo 2,453
Out of that list, I only have 1941, which I've never listened to. I'm afraid I'm not a huge collector or listener of non-franchise/blockbuster John Williams, of any decade.

MrScratch 294
Eiger Sanction, though if this poll were expanded to include all of the 1970s it would be Jane Eyre.
Incanus 5,714
Eiger Sanction, though if this poll were expanded to include all of the 1970s it would be Jane Eyre.Good point. Jane Eyre would be my choice as well. But then again I can't choose between Jane Eyre and The Fury. Both remarkable scores in their respective genres. MrScratch 294
Jason, you should do a 1969-1974 poll. Reivers, Jane Eyre, Cowboys, Towering Inferno... should be an interesting poll. But, I guess the disaster movies could be considered blockbusters though not on the level of Star Wars and E.T. and such.

ChuckM 1
Don't know this selection very well, but I'd have to go with 1941 followed by Black Sunday.Haven't listened much to The Fury.

Hlao-roo 389
Black Sunday is in my estimation Williams's finest thriller score, and it gets my vote. For some reason, I've tired of the main theme from The Fury over time, but the score still has its share of highlights, so I guess I'd go with that one for second place. Gruesome Son of a Bitch 6,488
Family Plot, easily. TownerFan 4,983
For me, it's a tie between Dracula and The Fury. However, I always loved both The Eiger Sanction and Family Plot, for their mock-baroque/neoclassical feel.
