May the Force be with You 2,032
If it's a Williams release then 12. For Goldsmith or Horner that's a 1 (possibly 3 or 12 for some of them) and if it's Brazil from Michael Kamen that's also a 12. For other I'll add a 13 option that's missing IMO: "Intrigued and waiting for some samples" Yavar Moradi

bruce marshall 1,260
Looking forward to Shock Treatment being re-released as part of LLL's Goldsmith at 20th series. That would be cool. I missed out on this and had to buy from secondary market. Fortunately the seller had it reasonably priced- slightly above list- as EBAY/ DISCOGS were $50 and up! Btw Looking at that picture, what stands out is the variety of styles: War Drama Adventure Science fiction Westerns Thrillers No one else did it all, not even JW( imho he never wrote a great Western score).😄 SHOCK TREATMENT is the ONLY Goldsmith score I have where I never saw the film! Michael Kamen Basil Poledouris James Horner: JUMANJI Miklos Rozsa: DEAD MEN DON'T WEAR PLAID John Williams: SPACE CAMP Alan Silvestri : CATS EYE Henry Mancini Jay Chattaway It could be made into 2 composer combination from these: Michael Kamen, Basil Poledouris, Henry Mancini, Jay Chattaway. Only 28 days, or so, to wait. Would they be able to while the BSX release is still in print (assuming "out of stock" just means that)? At the very least, a third disc would be overkill if they could fit it on 2 just fine. Also, I just would've bought it very recently, so I'd be slightly peeved (though ultimately glad) that a better version came out soon afterwards. It'd be great if this could lead to a Molly Maguires reprint, but Charles Strouse isn't on the list, and that wasn't a long enough for even a 2nd disc! Only 28 days, or so, to wait. Its TWO Albums. One of them is a film score. LIFEFORCE already has the OST program on disc 2! So there is no need for disc 3. The film just came out on 4K blu ray but 2 composers! it could be Mancini & Kamen. The Non-Film album which is implied could be the 3rd disc -could be Kamen related as well. (ie. if we remain within the 2 composers equation) Im thinking along those lines that it could be some Electric Guitar Concerto by Kamen with Eric Clapton? Richard Penna 2,639
From http://rejectedfilmscores.125mb.com/list.html Quote +THE PATRIOT -- David Arnold. Arnold wrote & recorded hand full of original demos with a real, full orchestra (on top of writing a full score). Arnold was hired early on, as one of the producers (Dean Devlin) had wanted to work on a project with him again. Arnold says, in a 2001 interview with Soundtrack! magazine that budgetary problems from going over budget, started to lead to some uneasiness and he was asked if he still wanted to do it and eventually was asked to submit demos first (which had not previously happened in their collaborations). Meanwhile one of the other producers whom had worked with Williams, was telling everybody they could get Williams and the studio put out calls to Williams and Horner. Arnodl says he sent them the demo and almsot immediately that day, they came back and said it wasn't working out and that they were getting Williams; Arnold speculates there must have been more going on behind the scenes for this to have happened so quickly. He also said the demo he sent, was one of the best thigns he had ever done, though he didn't feel insulted Williams was the final composer. INFO (coming). [Harold Kloser.] THE PATRIOT -- Harold Kloser. In an interview he said he did some, but Roland didn't like them.
