I do not wear black turtlenecks. I have to deserve that honor. I am not on that level of excellence yet. I only have black sweaters. It takes years to achieve the skills to wear black turtlenecks. Only Masters can wear them. Hence JWs badge of honor. His ever present black turtlenecks.

Indeed, even Steve Jobs wears only mock turtlenecks.

I do wear black turtlenecks most of the time. I´ve got plenty of them in my wardrobe. Maybe it´s because some people

once said they fit me pretty well. Others may think that´s a boring fashion. But I recall that Albert Einstein theory. If you

do dress the way I do, you have saved quite a lot of time you would probably waste on musing what you should wear tomorrow. :D

No because it's for California f**ktards.

The only person that can pull it off is Steve Jobs. The rest are just begging to beaten.

And yes I lived in California from age 0 to 24. And people who are in the black turtle neck society are pure assholes.

A Black Turtleneck Society you say. Sounds intriguing. Any specific hangout where you can spot this crowd? JW might be the Grand Master. I wonder what kind of sinister plot Turtleneckies are planning right now.

I think the 70's or 80's were the last time I actually wore a turtle neck.

I don't think I've ever worn a turtleneck. I like a free neck.

You joke, Incanus, but when the California f**ktard assholes come for you, you won't be laughing.

It seems they have chosen the wrong path of Black Turtleneck. It is easy to give in to the temptation. The California way is the easy way, more seductive. As they say about turtlenecks: "Wear or wear not. There is no try. Because if you try it on you have to buy it."

No. It's like the late comedian Mitch Headberg said:

(from memory)

"Weariing a turtle next is like having a midget on you back strangling you. ALL DAY LONG."

I live in West Texas, there is almost no black in my wardrobe. And what little there is gets worn around December-February.

I was in Camden Town, London last week with all the goths dressed in black leather. Just plain disturbing.

I used to dress quite dark and inconspicuously when I was very self-conscious and didn't want to draw attention to myself. But it was a successful '09 new year's resolution of mine to overcome that and colour/bare skin is slowly infecting my wardrobe...

Hehe. I didn't like shorts/t-shirt as a kid - I was too conscious about my lack of meat.

I'm going on a camping trek across the Western US in September though - a chance to exercise the new 'me'. Definitely no turtle necks there... in fact I can't imagine needing long trousers for the entire second half.
