This is one of my Top 3 JW scores. I think on this project (movie and score) everything came beautifully together. It does not get much better than this.

Score: 5

Movie: 5

Although E.T. is a spectacular classic, I enjoy Raiders more.

I will say that while I prefer RAIDERS as a score, and it has some mindblowingly good stuff like 'The Map Room: Dawn', it doesn't have something that speaks to me as deeply as 'Adventures on Earth'.

Hmmm, "Desert Chase" speaks to me as deeply, I think ... maybe coupled with "To Cairo" and "Flight from Peru"!

Haha, I bet maxxie feels a bit foolish now, being the only one who gave score and movie 4.5 stars...

Oh, I'm just kidding, don't give me pain!

So who is still listening regularly to the expanded Concord album???

Not me. The DCC is where it's at.

Yes. Same here.

But I still really enjoy the Concord versions of ToD and LC...!

5 for both, perfect score, perfect movie, Spielberg and Lucas really where at the top of their game back then. I prefer Raiders, one of my Top 5 scores actually.

An absolutely stunning track indeed. It'll never stop to amaze me that Williams did Empire, Raiders, E.T., etc. in consecutive years.

 I've never actually seen E.T ,or listened to the score (except the "Flying Theme" track on JW Greatest Hits CD) so that's why I picked Raiders for the film choice.

As for the score, I gave it 4.5 because ToD is a solid 5 in my book, and Raiders doesn't quite give me the same enjoyment.

...What?! Rectify that immediately!

5, 5, E.T.

Well, I saw it as a kid and remember crying at the end. I know what the score's like, I just haven't got it yet. Guess I'll pick up the CE some day. ;)

I'm on a Disney binge at the moment.

I'm a sucker for a fantastic, action-packed, highly thematic score with an absolute, rip-roaring classic adventure movie.

The Indiana Jones scores, especially Raiders and Temple, are among my top scores by Williams.

And of course, Star Wars (the ORIGINAL trilogy)

Hey, a score has not to be the all-time best in order to get 5 stars! ;)

The Concord album, except for the Desert Chase. For that, I dig out my DCC CD.

My playlist for Raiders includes the extra tracks on the bonus CD as well.

I dumped my Temple import once I got the Concord set. More music, movie order, and remastered to boot.

;)

E.T. > Raiders Of The Lost Ark

It's all subjective, my friend...

I think people tend to rate E.T. higher (or at least used to), just because E.T. won an Oscar.

Um, no.

I agree.

Um, that too it's subjective... ;)

Ok, now there's 3 people that have voted 1 star, I mean seriously... what's the deal??

They don't count anyway!

Who me? Couldn't be! Then who? Yeah I did it.

I know, I know, sometimes that urge to be a jackass is just too much to resist. I feel your pain.

5 for the score. I give this to all of the scores in the Indy trilogy.

5 for the movie. IMO Spielberg's best all around film, nothing he's done is as perfectly realized.

I have to say I prefer E.T. to Raiders, if only because a) Raiders isn't my top Indy score (but they're all close) and b) E.T. is hard to beat by anything.
