Looks amazing and judging by all the remarks from the top movie critics at the end of the trailer, it must be good.

Regardless of this being a Terry Gilliam film it has the potential to be huge. Heath Ledger! Like it or not, an enormous amount of people will want to see this film simply because he's become so loved over the last two years, and especially since his death (not ignoring the fact that some will come simply out of morbid curiosity). As for the circumstances surrounding Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law's involvement, that should generate much interest also. Add to the mix a captivatingly intriguing new trailer, and the fact that the general public is more in tune with dark fantasy films these days than they were 5 years ago (thank you Guillermo del Torro) I think this could perhaps be one of the biggest hits of the year, and almost certainly be Gilliam's biggest hit. I honestly think at this point it all boils down to the release strategy and marketing. Get that trailer out there! Show it on TV! Get it into theatres!

"Sorry Marge, I'm afraid this gets my lowest rating ever: Seven thumbs up."

They're okay, serviceable composers.

Like the MediaVentures hacks.

Mychael Danna's RIDE WITH THE DEVIL was one the best scores of the 1990s.

Well I don't think I've heard much from Jeff Danna. I know he did Silent Hill, which was 100% not his music. I don't know why he got credit for cutting and pasting Akira Yamaoka's music from the games, especially since Yamaoka was a producer on the film.

Mychael Danna is better.

I don't know. The Gospel of John was very good. Great even. The kind of work that is uses a wide variey of instrumentation and yet doesn't go over the top (like the other Jesus score did, for example). I haven't heard anything else from Jeff, but this one was elegant and beautiful. I'm curious of what they did with Parnassus.
