Doubtful. If anything it's just going to take a long time as I've said many times in the past. This is a huge undertaking after all; we're talking potentially up to 25 hours worth of music! I see no reason why anyone would "block" it, and we already know that they would never side against Williams' wishes (and if anyone was blocking it in the past, it was him).

I wish they where working on them but after years of waiting it's seems like nothing is really happening any time soon. I would be so happy to be wrong about this

Honestly I would expect it to potentially be up to a 10-year project (not necessarily that long). All we know so far is that some sort of "talks" began around 2015, and were still ongoing as of December of 2019. *If* they started anything, it's possible they didn't until 2020 at the earliest. If anything, I would hope for 2025 (20th anniversary of ROTS) or 2027 (50th anniversary of Star Wars). It would be nice to get them sooner though, but I don't think that'll happen unless we're really lucky.

Except @Jaysaid the two Sony Music releases in question haven't been released yet.

 

So they might be caught in approval hurdles while other Sony titles have been licenced and released subsequently.

 

Or it might be that Sony's involvement in Field of Dreams is only tangential compared to the two mystery titles (where perhaps the entire score is owned by Sony). In the case of Hook, the OST was licensed to Sony Music but the film score belongs to Tristar, now a subsidiary of Sony Pictures.

I probably said a few times since then that nothing licensed from Sony Music has been released yet, since nothing did come out from them for a long while. 

 

But clearly Sony Music is open for business again, since we recently got new expansions of Legends of the Fall, Jumanji, and SpaceCamp from Intrada and Field of Dreams from LLL, plus reissues of Hook from Mondo and Close Encounters from LLL. 

 

Whether any of those were in the works prior to February 2019 or not... who knows!

The other consideration with Field of Dreams is Sony had nothing to do with the film, beyond Columbia/Tristar distributing it in select territories. The OST was released by the defunct Novus Records, whose catalog is now owned by Sony Music, hence their involvement in the expansion.

 

On the other hand, Hook is Sony through and through. The OST was released through Sony Music and the film was produced at Tristar, a subsidiary of Sony Pictures.

 

So maybe FOD wasn't one of the "two Sony releases," depending on whatever criteria LLL used.
