Jay 30984
Good afternoon, kiddies! We have 3 fantastic releases coming at ya next Tuesday, July 30, 2012 at 12 pm PST First up: Customeeeeeeeers….come and to PAAAAAAAAA-AAAAAAAAY WARRIORSMUSIC BY BARRY DeVORZONSONGS BY VARIOUS ARTISTLIMITED EDITION OF 3000 UNITSRETAIL PRICE $19.98LLLCD 1261 PRODUCED BY DAN GOLDWASSERMASTERED BY DOUG SCHWARTZLINER NOTES BY ERIC LICHTENFELD and TIM GRIEVINGART DIRECTION BY DAN GOLDWASSER La-La Land Records, Universal Music and Paramount Pictures are proud to announce the expanded soundtrack release to the cult classic THE WARRIORS. This release features a fully remastered soundtrack of the original LP presentation along with the score Barry DeVorzon he initially wrote and recorded back in 1979. For score aficionados this release is especially exciting since it contains music that was recorded for the film, but was ultimately cut out in favor of rock songs. Like the film, DeVorzon’s theme-heavy synth rock score inspired a generation of filmmakers and musicians in the 1980’s (including John Carpenter, Harold Faltermeyer, and Hans Zimmer). It’s dark, vibrant fantastic late 70’s/early 80’s experimental film scoring at its finest. We consider this release one of the most important in our catalog of nearly 300 releases. It’s not to be missed, sucka! Next up… RED 2MUSIC BY ALAN SILVESTRILIMITED EDITION OF 3000 UNITSRETAIL PRICE $15.98LLLCD 1264 PRODUCED BY ALAN SILVESTRI and DAVID BIFANOMASTERED BY MICHAEL FOSSENKEMPERART DIRECTION BY DAN GOLDWASSER La-La Land Records and Summit Entertainment are happy to announce the Limited Edition cd release to Alan Silvestri’s high octane action score to the recent film RED 2, in theaters now. Jay 30984
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE LA-LA LAND RECORDS PRESENTS THE LONG AWAITED SOUNDTRACK FORCAPRICA: ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK TO THE SYFY TELEVISION SERIES Featuring Original Music by Emmy Nominee Bear McCreary (July 24, 2013– Los Angeles, CA) – La-La Land Records will release the long awaited soundtrack for CAPRICA: ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK TO THE SYFY TELEVISION SERIES, composed by Bear McCreary (THE WALKING DEAD, MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D., DA VINCI’S DEMONS) on July 30, 2013. The soundtrack is a 2CD set, limited edition 3000 units. “I want to give special thanks to you guys, the CAPRICA fans. You’ve been so loyal and supportive to our series, and that means a lot to everyone involved,” said McCreary. CAPRICA was an amazing new musical journey for me. I’ve written a National Anthem, a Tauron gangster rap, a drag queen burlesque, and an opera for Alessandro Juliani, just to name a few.” Set 58 years before Battlestar Galactica, CAPRICA follows two rival families - the Graystones and the Adamas - as they grow, compete, and thrive in the vibrant world of the peaceful 12 Colonies, living in a society close to our own. Entangled in the burgeoning technology of artificial intelligence and robotics that will eventually lead to the creation of the Cylons, the two houses go toe-to-toe, blending action with corporate conspiracy and sexual politics. CAPRICA delivered intrigue, political backbiting and family conflict in television's first science fiction family saga. Just like with his groundbreaking music for BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, McCreary needed to create a new universe for th inhabitants of the 12 planets. “Each principal setting in CAPRICA has a unique sound,” McCreary described. “The upper echelons of Caprican society, the Graystone’s world, are underscored with an intellectual, classical sound. The Tauron mafia is accompanied by traditional acoustic instruments, evocative of old Europe. And New Cap City is set to an undulating backbone of video-game inspired analog synthesizers.” It’s this sort of out-of-the-box thinking that led WIRED Magazine to call McCreary a “Secret Weapon” in a recent issue. His unique combination of atypical instrumental background (he is a professional accordionist) with rigorous classical training prepared him to compose for disparate genres. By the age of 24, McCreary was launched into pop culture history with his groundbreaking score to Syfy’s hit series Battlestar Galactica, for which he composed “the most innovative music on TV today” (Variety). It “fits the action so perfectly, it’s almost devastating: a sci-fi score like no other” (NPR). Io9.com declared Bear McCreary one of the Ten Best Science Fiction Composers of all time, listing him alongside legends John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith and Bernard Herrmann. McCreary continues to write for the television show THE WALKING DEAD and this fall for MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Recently he lent his talents to the STARZ/BBC co-production DA VINCI’S DEMONS, for which he earned his second Emmy nomination, and Syfy and Trion World’s groundbreaking entertainment experience, DEFIANCE, a combined launch of a MMO videogame. His upcoming projects include BLACK SAILS (produced by Michael Bay) and the films EUROPA REPORT, which premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival, and KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM. His other credits include critically acclaimed scores for series such as TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES, EUREKA, and THE CAPE. His swashbuckling score for HUMAN TARGET featured the largest orchestra ever assembled in the history of series television and earned him his first Emmy nomination. His videogame credits include SOCOM 4 and Dark Void. DISC 1:1. Caprica Main Title 2. GoodMusician 54
OOooo!!! I'm sooo excited for CAPRICA! When I talked to Bear at Galacticon he mentioned there would be some GREAT material on it including the sketch of the theme... he was upset over the French Blu Ray having unapproved isolated music for this which weren't from the approved mixes (some sort of legal thing going on over that too) but this is gonna be so cool! yay! Trent B 321
Well in other countries bootlegging can be looked the other way. Essentially what I'm saying is in other countries it can be legal to press a bootleg and even put unauthorized music on a release like an isolated score for a film.So Bear's reaction about being upset is rightfully so although in a way he can't do anything about it. GoodMusician 54
He made it sound like Universal had really dropped the ball and done it without going through the proper legal channels. I almost wonder if that didn't halt production of an English Blu Ray as it was never released

La-La Land Records, Universal Music and Paramount Pictures are proud to present the remastered and expanded soundtrack to the 1979 Paramount Pictures cult classic motion picture THE WARRIORS, starring Michael Beck, James Remar and Deborah Van Valkenburgh, and directed by Walter Hill. The original A&M album presentation has been remastered, with songs from Joe Walsh, Arnold McCuller, Desmond Child and others sounding better than ever. But to top even that, Barry DeVorzon’s influential original film score finally makes its world premiere, nearly 35 years since the film’s release (the two score tracks on the original ’79 album were uniquely mixed for that release). Some of DeVorzon material presented here was ultimately cut from the film, so fans will get to hear these tracks for the very first time. DeVorzon’s masterful, progressive synch-rock score undoubtedly inspired many filmmakers and composers, from John Carpenter and Harold Faltermeyer to Hans Zimmer and countless others. FrankV 208
Sorry for the delay. We were waiting to find out if a certain release was going to be ready for shipment, but alas, it was not meant to be released on Aug 13. And, since we don't believe in taking people's money before the product is in house (or at least imminent in its arrival) we will be releasing this "ONE" soundtrack at a later date.In the meantime, we do have one "KICK ASS" release coming at ya next Tuesday, Aug 13, 2013 at 12 pm NOON pstKICK ASS 2Music by Henry Jackman and Matthew MargesonLLLCD 1272Retail Price: $15.98Produced by Henry Jackman and Matthew MargesonMastered by Patricia Sullivan at Bernie Grundman MasteringArt Direction by Dan GoldwasserPresenting the original motion picture score to the all-new feature film Kick-Ass 2, starring Chloe Grace Moretz, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Jim Carrey, directed by Jeff Wadlow. Acclaimed composers Henry Jackman (This Is The End, Wreck It Ralph, X-Men: First Class, Kick-Ass) and Matthew Margeson (Transformers Prime, Skyline, Burning Palms) back the highly-anticipated return of the unconventional heroic duo Kick-Ass and Hit Girl with a full-throttle, super-charged action score as they face-off once more against the vengeful-minded Red Mist. This score is a sonic blast - and the perfect compliment to this rip-roaring, big-screen sequel to the original cult smash Kick-Ass. This CD release contains great liner notes by composers and director as well as additional music not available on the digital download version.Kick-Ass 2 opens in theaters nationwide August 16, 2013.The first 100 or so customers who purchase the cd directly through the La-La Land website will receive an autographed booklet signed by co-composer Matthew Margeson. As always, quantities are limited and you are NOT guaranteed a signed edition. The cd can be ordered at www.lalalandrecords.com starting at 12 pm pst Aug 13, 2013See y'all next week! Trent B 321
LLL via FacebookPhew! Trying to come up with the release schedule for 2014 and we already have 51 titles lined up! That doesn't even include titles from 2013 that won't make it out this year or new titles we land deals on during the course of the year. 2014 will mark another company milestone with the release of our 300th soundtrack! Don't know what it's gonna be, but I have narrowed it down to 3 spectacular releases! I am leaning toward a box set, but I don't know if the project will be done in time. Only time will tell. Well, back at it!

Trent B 321
Wasn't The Matrix Reloaded much more recent than 1993?Ya that was a typo on MV's part since the film is 2003. Facebook wont let you update your initial first post which is stupid.
crocodile 6861
Pity we're not getting those few extra bits with Don Davis overlays. But that's not really a major issue for me. There's still 150 (!) minutes of stuff on this set. I wonder id we're getting some cool previously unreleased bits that we don't know of yet?Karol
Trent B 321
Ya it'll be interesting if there's some never before heard things that weren't with the complete boot. BTW they just said this via Facebook.Correction to our announcement. Our 2-CD MATRIX RELOADED was mastered by Mike Matessino. It sounds amazing, as do the other two new releases and we can't wait to share them all with you next week!

lonzoe 18
Great news about Wyatt Earp. And course Reloaded. Too bad the film version of the track, where Neo's doing his "Superman thing" wasn't available. I've been wanting to hear that seperate from the movie for a long time. Oh well. I'm still excited for this release regardless. Never expected an expansion. At least not this soon anyway.

Richard Penna 2506
I wouldn't quite agree with LLL's assessment that Earp has 'some of the best music to come out of Hollywood in the past 20 years'. Much of the more dramatic scoring doesn't detach that well from the film for me (which I've never seen), but there's a good half hour of superb unreleased material which makes this worth buying for me.
