Through further tweets about it, it's been revealed that Dan Goldwasser did the art direction and Tim Grieving did the liner notes.

Can't quite agree that they're kicking the crap out of the other labels. I only bought 6 of the above, but 3 of those I purchased only because I could get them for absurdly cheap -- got Sum of All Fears for LESS than $5 and Matrix Revolutions for less than $15 for example.

I do love Fight the Future, Flesh + Blood and the Elfman Batman box though.

I don't... I don't know... It's so hard to tell without posters of the other labels' releases!

I remember a Varese, a pair each from Kritzerland and Quartet, a handful of Intradas and of course a half dozen scores from 2014...

I got 13 of them - basically all the superhero scores, Elfman scores, and Williams scores.

I didn't even know they made another Scorpion King movie after The Rock's; let alone three!

They were all direct-to-video, obviously sans-The Rock. Based on the age of the guy playing him, seems like at least some of them are prequels. I remember seeing previews for all of these stinking things in front of Blu-rays of actual good movies.

I'm uninterested in everything except the Wiedmann Justice League score, which I will snatch up and I'm sure will enjoy as much as the rest of his related work. The DC DTV scores have been uniformly good - very few are great, but none are worth skipping IMO.

As it stands I only got 3 from that line up.... The Matrix Revolutions, Transformers and Sum Of All Fears. Although I'd love to get the new Batman set, Lair and the Star Trek Enterprise set...but the next couple of months money is gonna be tight.

I hadn't, ahem, palnned to buy any of their upcoming January releases, no.

Same have no interest in them. Just for me I have to pay for a couple of things in the next couple of months.

However, in January I am paying for a copy of Predator 2 that's on hold for me via Movie Music. I know not LLL but still...

Empire of the Sun is my most played CD of all the ones on that 2014 LLL graphic. Such good JW music there!

Shaft and The Naked Gun trilogy are really fun scores, and all the Batman TAS music is great.

Beyond that, I really need to open up and listen to my Blue Max, Dennis the Menace, Flesh+Blood, X-Files, and Big Top Pee Wee.

I really enjoyed Joe Kraemer's Favor too. I listen to it on Spotify.

Jeff Bond wrote the liner notes for the new POTA TV set

I did the notes--I think it's a great collection and addition to the film scores; interesting contributions by all the composers, even a few pieces from Lionel Newman.

And Jim Titus did the artwork:

Jim did the art.
We have everything that could be found and tossed it on. I am sure some "Soundtrack Smurf" out there will point out something is missing. ;)
We looked for the Apes animated series but nothing could be located. :(
MV
Jeff Bond adds
The Lionel Newman stuff is minimal and it's used in a way that is semi, or arguably completely source music--but interestingly enough it fits in quite well with the character of the Apes music in general. Not library music--written and recorded for a specific episode. I don't believe any library music was recorded--they got into tracking early on the show and I think they figured out very early on that viewership was disastrous and they were on the road to cancellation. So when new music was recorded it was done only for specific episodic needs.

Nice message from MV!

Happy New Year, Soundtrack Enthusiasts!

2014 was another spectacular year at the triple L. We celebrated Batman’s 75th birthday in style with a number of soundtrack releases. We got to cross David Arnold’s score to SHAFT and John Morris’ score to THE IN-LAWS off our personal HOLY GRAIL list. We had the honor of working with Mr Elfman on a number of projects – new and old, as well as work with Mr. Debney on not only LAIR but the 10th Anniversary Edition of THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST. Even more exciting is the work we did with a number of up and coming composers like Freddie Wiedmann, Joe Kraemer and some guy named John Williams (I hear THIS guy is going places).

As we say farewell to 2014 we look ahead to 2015 and beyond. As the New Year approaches we have decided to dip our toes into the exciting new waters known as VINYL (as the kids are calling it these days). A number of limited edition releases are planned this year for the LP market starting off with ALTERED STATES and then boldly going forth into strange new worlds…

Jerry, Michael, John and James will be finding their ways back into our catalog in the New Year along with some fresh faces as well. Some of you doubting THOMAS’ may reMARK that this passage is WAXing poetically on upcoming titles, but we are quite SHORE and BARRY confident of our slate of releases coming out in 2015…Mancini.

And what would be a year at La-La Land without some Trek and DC Animated scores?

2015 marks a lot of very cool anniversaries as well. Some from the world of TV and some from the world of Films. We plan on celebrating those in style – including some box sets.

As always, keep checking back at our Facebook page to find out about our exciting new releases, signing events, screenings and other goings on. We have some amazing releases planned for the coming year including our annual BLACK FRIDAY TITLES (going on sale December 1, 2015)

We’ll see you back here on January 13, 2015 at 12 pm pst with the release of PLANET OF THE APES TV SERIES 2 cd set!

Have a safe and Happy New Year!

The original one, the 90s Batman by Shirley Walker and others following her lead, is great. Very accessible to anyone who likes the popular orchestral scores from the 70s-90s.

The more modern stuff isn't in the same style.
