Monday is June 1st, and they have been mostly been releasing titles on the first of the month for the past few years now.

OK so the two titles ended up being:

 

John Barry's THE GOLDEN CHILD (1986) - https://lalalandrecords.com/golden-child-the-remastered-limited-edition-2-cd-set/

 

Thomas Newman's SPECTRE (2015) - https://lalalandrecords.com/spectre-10th-anniversary-expanded-remastered-limited-edition-2-cd-set/

 

 

The catalog number of SPECTRE - LLLCD1677 - reveals that this was expected to come out in 2025 (no surprise with the "10th anniversary" branding they are going with), and must have gotten hung up in approvals.

 

All titles with catalog numbers 1657 through 1686 were released in 2025, except for four of them.

1. 1676 - BAD BOYS (30th anniversary) - delayed until March 2026
2. 1677 - SPECTRE (10th anniversary) - delayed until June 2026
3. 1679 - BAD BOYS 2 - delayed until March 2026
4. 1682 - still not released.

 

Hopefully we get 1682 soon!

 

And just a reminder that LLLCD1640 is still not out either.  That one was expected to be released in either late 2023 or early 2024!

I assume it's somewhere between 0.000001% and 0.000002%.

 

It's more likely that John Williams himself will create an account on JWFan to share the recording sessions of every single one of his scores with us than something nice (whether it involves Warner Bros, Lucasfilm/Disney or AFM not charging so much for post 2005 US scores) happening with us.

The Zimmers continue! I've never actually heard of The Fan, but nice to see that despite heavy delays, things are still happening. Paramount and Sony are evidently the studios of the moment. Nothing for me this time, unfortunately.

 

I had half wondered whether, given paired releases in the past (such as Bad Boys and Varese's Blade), Skyfall might've been approved at the same time as Spectre, but that's probably naive thinking, given that licensing conditions for the songs alone could be a nightmare, and probably other intricacies.

With these two titles, every gap in LLL's CD catalog is filled except for the still-missing LLLCD 1640, which was supposed to come out in 2023.

 

Other than that, every number up through 1690 (Golden Child) is out!
