ChuckM 1
I just bought the CD for Richard Harvey's Fantasia (no relation to the Disney Fantasia) for $50 on eBay. That's the most I have ever spent on a CD and hopefully the most I ever will. I only paid that much because I've been hunting it for way too many years, and this is the first time I've ever seen it show up. That, and of course it is pretty awesome music. I also managed to track down Fantasia 2 a couple months ago, but I only paid $20 for that one.So how about it? What's the most you've ever paid for a single CD, and why'd you do it? Diego 21
With the inflated prices of import CDs here quite a lot on most of them.
Gruesome Son of a Bitch 6,476
I've never really spent that much. It was a gift years back, but probably the most expensive SINGLE CD purchased in my collection is Temple of Doom, from the Star Wars fan club store circa 2000. I think it was like 30 bucks or something plus shipping. I've spent that amount on many 2-disc sets. Anyone who buys these rare, limited and oop CDs for horrendously high prices must be insane. I'm lucky to have snagged Dracula, Jaws 2 and some other rarities before they became long oop and rose in value.

Trent B 317
$100 is the most I've ever spent for a CD and that was for Varèse's Predator, a sealed copy I might add. I bought it a year and half after it sold out. Back when I bought it is when I was just barely new to the Limited Edition ring and was buying them.Anyone who buys these rare, limited and oop CDs for horrendously high prices must be insane.I'm not insane...I just wanted a sealed copy of Varèse's Predator score real bad and was willing to pay that much for it. It was going for that much or higher at the time too.
indy4 152
Jaws 2, for 40 bucks. Back when ToD OST was a rarity, I snagged it for 25 bucks on eBay.
ChuckM 1
I want to know what the $300+ CD was.$25-I normally buy used. With the few exceptions I mentioned, that's typically my strategy as well.

#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,251
150 Dutch Guilders in the early 90's for a scrathed, used copy of Temple Of Doom, without a frontcover. For that time, for a boy without a job, that was an almost unbelievable amount of money! 99 US Dollars in todays money. MattyO 56
I recently managed to find brand new (sealed) copies of Varese's The 'Burbs and LLL's Godzilla (Arnold) for $40 and $35 respectively. I thought this was a pretty generous deal, considering how much I've seen both of these titles go for in the past.
