Bespin is Canadian? Would have sworn he was French.

I love MovieMusic's $1 shipping for orders of 3 titles or more. I've gotten into the habit of not only grouping titles together there but at other retailers as well.

His info below his avatar clearly says he is from Québec.

And yes the international shipping fees are a pain in the backside.

And yet, I'm very American, in spite the fact I speak French and write an idiosyncratic english ;-)

Jay, do you know a website where "Goodbye, Mr. Chips" is still avaible? It would be a great candidate for a future order!

Nope, you missed out on that one.

I fell in love with goodbye mr. Chips while restoring the promo LP for a friend. Then I saw the movie and really loved it.

To bad that the extended set is out of print. It's Pretty hard to find on the web.

I have one if you are interested ?

Is it not too early to liquidate your assets? Put me on your will, I'm patient. ;-)

By the way when we remove all the posts where you wrote Only "what?", you are at 24 000 only.

Nixon is a great one!

A lot of the Mahlerian scale darkness of Williams's 2000's scores have their roots in this mix of brooding darkness and Americana.

Mine may have been The Phantom Menace....uh, "Ultimate Edition".

First good one was, I think, Towering Inferno (FSM) in 2001.

Scratch that, the '97 Special Editions.

I had the page open for a couple of days before placing my order. I'd added the discs to my cart one day and when I wanted to actually order the next day, the page for the Holmes album didn't have an order link anymore. But the PayPal cart still showed it. I guess I must have gotten one of the very last copies.

Any music directed by John Williams on those boxsets?

Any track listing?

Nothing from "The Screen: Epic Sagas".

From CD4 ("Family/Comedy/Holiday") of the Top Shelf Library box set (pictured at the right above):

  • "Holiday Flight" (from Home Alone)
  • "The House" (from Home Alone)

Below is an image showing the info for the "Call of the Champions" single.  Note that the length of track 1 is 4:07 (as stated on the insert) and not 3:45 as stated on the CD itself.  This "radio edit" also appeared on the "Call of the Champions" radio edit promo CD, which featured a handful of radio edits and bumper-like versions and sound bites from an interview with Williams.

Spoiler

Wow some great purchases there, @Jwfan2234!

I really love Horner's Spider-man score, it came as a surprise because for whatever reason I wasn't expecting much, and what we got was so wonderful!  I was really bummed he was replaced by Zimmer for the sequel, but then I ended up liking that score too :P

Thanks Jay, I agree that asM 1 score was really great. But not as good as elfman! Bought it at Barnes and noble running a $10 of 75 that ends today. You will get a great deal as Spider-Man 2 is $7 hook is $7 and manny other good ones. Type in John Williams in search bar though or the composer not the title of the soundtrack best of luck.
