I bought the only full recording of Jerome Moross' most successful musical, The Golden Apple, recorded in 2014.  It's not available digitally so I bought the CD via the Discogs marketplace

Looney Tunes is Varese though...

Well shipping fees are high on Varese... Intrada has the same shipping rate for 2 to 7 CDs and they don't have Cocoon 2... So...

Decided to get Sherlock Holmes based on the sound samples.

I have all the Futureland Toho Monster Movie Selection releases, this includes Akira Ifukube's Dagora but in one of the Godzilla threads at FSM, someone mentioned the Cinema-Kan release had much better sound and contained some bonus tracks of Ifukube material from various non Kaiju films.

So I may visit replacing all my Futureland Ifukube scores with the Cinema-Kan re-issues.

Oh, that's right. Seems like a productive fella. Who doesn't Bruce like him - is he a Trump nut?

Well, it's NOT Ford Thaxton.

So, that should narrow it down for you.😝

Who's that now again?

I once started a poll

" If Ford fell overboard at an FSM yacht party, would ANYONE throw him a life preserver?"

I was asking about Ford Thaxton.

He used to deride anyone who disagreed with him or question his decisions as a producer. I think it's been mentioned that he's become less aggressive these days, but I don't think I've actively crossed paths with him since leaving MM.com.

What's wrong with Bruce Kimmel/Kritzerland?

Mission Impossible - Danny Elfman (LLL)

Each time I listen to the OST, I find it doesn't sound like a typical Danny Elfman score, maybe I'm ready for the expanded version!

Did anyone here has ever received a sealed disc? By that I mean a sealed jewell case, where you can't open end it without breaking it.

Without breaking the seal, or without breaking the jewel case?

The jewel case
On one side the plastic was sealed so I had to break it to get my precious. It was really weird so I was wondering if anyone here already get that kind of issue

It's easy to open.

Take a small knife (that's the thing you use to cut your food) with a pionty end. A pairing knife (that's what you peel apples - red, sometimes green fruit) will do.

Take the pointy end (that's the metal bit at the opposite end of the handle), and slide it inbetween the folds of the plastic wrapping (that's the stuff around the CD case), and slide the knife so that the knife (remember what that's for?) splits the wrapping. Once it's split, take the knife away, and give it to mummy to look after. Take the rest of the wrapping off, open the case, and take the CD (that's the flat, circular thing inside the case), and insert it into the CD player.

Voilà!

If you want to write french we do use a space between a word and an exclamation mark, it's "Voilà !" :P

Did you take off the shrink-wrap?

Of course. I was asking about the jewel case in itself, the "open the case" part, the plastic seems to have melt in one piece preventing the traditional smooth opening of the case. The case was hermetically closed because of one of the tab was sealed.

Anyway that's just no big deal but if you guys are interest about how to open a jewel case that has no issue I strongly recommend you to watch this short video, it is very well done

In Québec, we don't put a space before the "?" and "!", our rules are more.... evolved 2.0!

France still have the same typographic rules since the printing era.

Richard, I love your french canadian accent, don't change a wink!

Well you don't really speak french in Quebec

I wouldn't say a 2.0 more like an alternate version of us ;)
