The STEPHEN KING COLLECTION is marked down to THIRTY DOLLARS!

Might be seeing individual releases of some of those titles( or has that already happened?)

Here are your two clues for the CD Club titles coming this Friday. Who will be brave enough to take a bold step with their guesses and compete for the chance of getting the highly coveted "good job" reply from the Varèse admin?

Jerry's Lionheart and JNH's Signs?

They're pretty solid guesses. I thought Signs would be more Intrada or LLL territory, but it will be very welcome coming from Varese. I love the complete score.

It's certainly a great OST. How's the complete score in comparison?

I just realized Signs was a Touchstone film with an OST on Hollywood Records - it's in Intrada only territory

So the second title is something else

Timeline involes going back in time to that period.

Not a huge amount more, to be honest. I like the film so I latched onto the unreleased music, but it's hardly essential.

But according to Jay's comment above, sounds like maybe that's not it.

Note the use of the words "Brave" and "Bold" in the blurb.

What does that reference?

It’s the third in Jerry’s unofficial “medieval trilogy”, the first two being Lionheart and First Knight. It might be the least of those three but it’s still frickin’ awesome (with a bit of sci fi mixed in to boot!)

I’ll go Timeline or Lionheart for the first one.

Maybe Brainstorm for the second.

Given the track record, the second one might as well be The Matrix.

And the first one might be Knight and Day. ;) Or it could be Ring of Fire.

No idea!

First thought was "Batman: Brave and the Bold" (The Dark Knight) but that is LLL territory (already has a release from them)

Lionheart was my first thought as well. Then I realised that's a griffin, not a lion, and it surely wouldn't have been difficult to find a picture of a knight sporting an actual lion. Then I figured their clues have never been above suspicion. So who knows.

So the "?" part in the 2nd pic could be "How Much".  Any thoughts on what that could be?  I have no idea.

Those words are also Interrogatives.  Quick Google search didn't reveal anything movie-related.

Timeline would make more sense than Lionheart, because the former is Varese's territory. Lionheart on the other hand just disappeared from streaming services, which implies that their license ran out.

I'd welcome Lionheart expanded edition, it's a good score that deserves a definitive version.

I'd prefer it from a label with a better quality check. Varese had some cases of negligence on their recent releases.

Varese usually posts one " obvious" clue and one so obscure no one can guess it

( BABE is an example of one that people guessed it)

Summary of titles I " guaranteed" would be released by our labels:

SEVEN YEARS IN TIBET

FIELD OF DREAMS

MATINEE

PERFECT STORM

AIRPORT

So, it HAS to be ONE of those.

See if they fit the clues.

An expanded version of a REJECTED score?!

That's harsh!

Just because something isn't up digitally does not mean the license is up. Just saying.

Catch Me If You Can did enter my mind for the second hint, but I always figured that score was LLL territory.

Signs certainly makes sense. The JNH/Shyamalan scores seem long overdue for expansions.

Speaking of Knights ..has this one crossed anyones mind as yet? Picture is oddly similar to the clue posted.

and its the 20th Anniversary of the said film this year..

Signs is no more Varése territory than CMIYC (or whatever non-Varése release will turn up here). Varése releases their back catalogue, not random scores of the last 40 years.

Does anyone know how much unreleased music there is (if any) from Shrek? I had thought pretty much every score cue was already on the original Varese album but I’d love to know if I’m wrong.

Huh, I’ll confess 8 minutes unreleased is more than I expected. Guess I would be up for buying an expansion in that case, though in terms of the three collaborations with Harry Greyson-Williams, Chicken Run is obviously my biggest want (but not a Varese title).

Hopefully an expanded release is better than the choppy OST.

I think it's kinda the nature of the score to be bitty, considering how much non-score music was interspersed throughout the film. Considering everything, I think it turned out wonderfully but it's certainly the least of the three Powell/Gregson-Williams collaborations.
