John Crichton 4
Probably just told them which bits of existing music to use where.
scallenger 374
Probably like what was done for the Jurassic Park ride, though the choices there must have been easy, lol. But still, I'm glad they even went to him at all, and are actually using his music in the ride! I thought for a while there they wouldn't have bothered since the films haven't used his music (save the main theme) since film 3.
Datameister 1,394
Yeah. "Overseeing" it really doesn't mean too much...it'll probably be something in the vein of the scores to the Disney parks' Star Tours and Indiana Jones Adventure, with different fragments from different scores cobbled together and re-recorded with some new transitions to fit the narrative of the ride. Not that that's a bad thing - but I'm just saying I don't think Williams' involvement will mean new material from him.

JW: "Give me a pen."Agent: "Don't you want to read the contract?"JW: "No just tell them to use the music for the owl and use music from that weird game Harry and his friends play." Muad'Dib 1,514
Sorry, but there isn't any new music...Famed film composer John Williams has worked with Universal to create a reworked version of the "Harry Potter" score for Wizarding World to add more authenticity to the park. No new music has been added, but the various themes could be heard playing in Hogwarts castle as well as around Hogsmeade. John Crichton 4
Yes, they're both in the Orlando area. I'd say they compete, but I think Universal is the small little dog yipping for scraps at the Disney family's table.
Demondm810 349
I'm interested to see how much they will charge. I live about an hour away from Disney and Universal. I was recently at the AAA office near me and the woman at the desk was telling me Universal hasn't decided how much to charge for HP yet, so they haven't even put out tour books or anything to do with it. I imagine it will be costly. Two thousand a day, ten thousand a day, and people will pay it. Maybe they will have a coupon day or something. Wojo 2,442
Show of hands. Who thinks they need to make more LEGO video games?*waiting*Ok, the two of you who raised your hands are the same folks who will want to reverse engineer the new Harry Potter: Years 1-4 game for John Williams music, which ought to feature in 75% of the game, if not downright all of it.http://www.gamespot.com/pc/adventure/legoharrypotteryears14/news.html?sid=6254317&tag=topslot;thumb;1&mode=previewsMay 3. Diego 21
Lego Batman, also from Warner, uses Elfman's score apparently from the CD, so I wouldn't expect anything unreleased. It seems giving to the game developers the complete tapes is a Lucasfilm/Lucasarts thing.
