Jay 37,287
A lot of people picking Ben's theme, and I am admitedly not too familiar with that one. Can somebody please post the best tracks from among the 6 CD releases that feature his theme?4) Parting/Gathering themeEh?5) Traveling/Exploring themeYou mean the one in Hollywood and Vines / Jack FM / Timecrunch / Sawyer Jones and the Temple of Boom? Taikomochi 1,136
Now I get to do it! :cool:Which Locke theme? There's his Sideways theme, the theme from "Crocodile Locke", the theme that's at the end of "Monsters are such Innnteresting People" and in part of "Locke of the Island", and the one from "Locke'd Out Again". Taikomochi 1,136
Yeah, the main Locke theme is pretty awesome. My favorite statement would have to be where he remembers in "The End".
Jay 37,287
4) Parting/Gathering themeEh?"Parting Words" from the Season 1 soundtrack, aka the raft launch music. The theme that plays last when Ajira takes back off at the end of The Hole Shabang? I guess I've always referred to that as the Leaving The Island Theme, but your title mike make more sense. For Ben's theme, listen to .Oh, THAT theme. Its ok, surprised to see it get so much love. Or have I missed out on some great variations that aren't a part of that suite?Yeah, the main Locke theme is pretty awesome. My favorite statement would have to be where he remembers in "The End".I can't wait for all the "remembering" music we'll get in the inevitable complete score release of The End
Koray Savas 2,251
I'll need to listen to "Locke'd Out Again," I always considered Locke's main theme as heard in "Crocodile Locke." Pure percussion bliss. I don't think it made any appearances in Season 6, which is kinda expected since Locke died. I remember the last time it was played on the show, when Locke (MIB at this point), came up to Richard's group on the beach in Season 5 after supposedly coming back to life. So great, especially at that point since it had a long absence.

Koray Savas 2,251
I don't know if it was on the Season 5 OST, only listened to that a couple times. But I believe the moment was on or near Follow The Leader.

Koray Savas 2,251
Since I don't really think it warrants a new thread, which of the season openers is your favorite?Season 1 ("The Eyeland")Season 2 ("Peace Through Superior Firepower")Season 3 ("In With A Kaboom!")Season 4 (Hurley's car chase, not on CD)Season 5 (Dr. Chang stops the drilling of the energy pocket, not on CD)Season 6 ("A Sunken Feeling")
Taikomochi 1,136
Oh, that's a good one.Either "The Eyeland" or "A Sunken Feeling". I love both. "The Eyeland" is just really cool to listen to and somewhat iconic. "A Sunken Feeling" is just really fun, I think. It's really bouncy and I get the impression Giacchino had a lot of fun writing it. Koray Savas 2,251
I think "Peace Through Superior Firepower" is my favorite. The 6-note motif that plays as the camera follows Desmond's lenses up through the hatch to Jack and Locke is spine-tinglingly good.
Datameister 2,037
Sooooo tough. For me, it's, like, a three-way tie between 2, 3, and 6. All three are amazing. I might have to give the win to season 2's "In With a Kaboom!", though.

Taikomochi 1,136
Something I'd be more interested in -Favorite season closer(with "Moving On" excluded. It's too obvious...)Season 1 - Oceanic 815Season 2 - Bon Voyage, Traitor with that little unreleased bit where Penny is alerted to finding the islandSeason 3 - Flashforward FlashbackSeason 4 - Hoffs DrawlarSeason 5 - Jacob's Stabber with that even littler unreleased clip of Juliet's theme at the endI think mine is either Oceanic 815 or Flashforward Flashback. 815 has a good rendition of Life and Death, but I love Jack's Theme at the end of FF FB. MrJosh 892
Favorite opener: The Eyeland. It really is just so iconic. Whenever I hear it, I instantly see Jack laying there on the ground and I remember how awesome this show was when I first started to watch it. Well...it is still awesome, but things were different back then. Favorite closer:Oceanic 815. Still something about season one that has a magical hold on me, I guess

Koray Savas 2,251
Worth picking up?It depends. For any fan of LOST or Giacchino, it's a must-buy. However, I recall reading just a moment ago in the Shore vs. Giacchino thread that you hadn't listened to any of his work on LOST. I consider it his magnum opus. Music cannot get any better than this. So, take the plunge if you dare, but I recommend starting from Season 1. Then again, you must consider that this is a limited run.
