Andy 1,492
Must have, or niche item? I'd never heard of the film before.
Ollie 859
Here are a few links to youtube that feature cues from the album:
Wojo 2,442
So ordered! It'll be nice to actually own this album.Ordered along with Sherlock Holmes (it's for a gift) and The Concert: John Barry pre-order.
Ollie 859
It's limited to 500 units.
Trent B 317
I can't honestly see myself sitting through this score. Congrats to those who wanted it. I won't get it though I'll let those who really do want it be able to get it.
Wojo 2,442
It's nostalgia and a happy childhood memory. I adore the songs, especially "City of Lights."It's also great to buy OOP albums for a reasonable price, rather than pay a third party triple figures or resort to other methods. If this sells well, maybe other OOP albums can be resurrected for a brief respite.Sure, it will anger all those who paid (or want to charge) through the roof for this or other OOP scores. Suckers. Ollie 859
I'm expecting Intrada to release it at some point. I believe Roger Feigleson had mentioned earlier this year that there are some issues holding a legit release up, as well as Goldsmith's Explorers. From what I understand this release is from the original batch that was issued thru Percepto a few years ago.I found out last month that The Brave Little Toaster was going to get re-released. I believe that Taylor White (Percepto) had found some extra copies (or an overstock in pressings) and was in the process of getting more booklets printed to make these extra copies available. Jay 27,216
Other way around; They original printed 3000 booklets but only 2500 CDs. So they were able to recently order the remaining 500 CDs that their original contract allowed but were never pressed
Ollie 859
Yep I just realized my error.
Andy 1,492
This seems to be delighting a lot of people, so I'm happy for them. The price is great, and the collectibility is attractive. But the sample tracks on youtube aren't winning me over, and since I don't have any nostalgic connection, I must pass. It's funny, when others are excited about a release, I want to jump on and be as thrilled as they are, but sometimes, it just doesn't happen. Nemesis 125
As I understand they only pressed 1'000 discs, but printed 1'500 booklets. After many requests they decided to press another 500 discs. You can read here
tharpdevenport 4
LLLR was the one who commented about two years ago about "Explorers", saying it had issues and it would take a couple years. I interviewed him recently.
