Romão 1,931
I love the fanfare that is heard at the beginning of the pod race in TPM, the one with the Jabba's theme hidden in the counterpoint.

fommes 126
What about the Winter Games Fanfare on the Denver CD. That's pretty good, too.
Josh500 1,602
Hail To The Winner, Anakin Skywalker Why is this track never mentioned. Brief, but effective. Love it!What about the Winter Games Fanfare on the Denver CD. That's pretty good, too.You mean Utah? What did JW write for Denver?
fommes 126
Search for The Denver Brass - John Williams album, which is, unless I'm mistaken, the only album that you can find that fanfare on.
Josh500 1,602
This? Was this even conducted, let alone composed by JW? I have never seen this... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Denver-Brass-John-Williams/dp/B000H30BXG/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1277297379&sr=1-
TownerFan 4,548
I always thought that this snippet could easily be taken from a Puccini opera. It's so grand and melodramatic. It could be possible. Which of his operas do you mean exactly here? Not one in particular, but I find those gestures very operatic and very Puccini-esque. Several years ago I went to a concert where some highlights from Puccini's operas were played. On the concert programme they underlined the true cinematic quality of Puccini's music and they actually wrote "If Puccini was alive today, he would be writing music for the films of Steven Spielberg". publicist 4,484
The final duel from HOOK, derivative of Korngold as it may be. From the point when Robin Williams flies up to Dustin Hoffmann, it's a fanfarefest of biblical proportions.
