Loert 2,511
Powerful stuff. My favourite track is definitely "Saw Bitch Workhorse". The way the music supplements the Nebuchadnezzar's ascent and descent through the clouds...honestly, Don Davis did a terrific job not just for this film but throughout the entire Matrix trilogy as well. Dixon Hill 4,234
Yeah the end of that cue is wild. The sequel scores lose some of the novel appeal of the first for me but they're still exceptional.

Dixon Hill 4,234
It's a very necessary part of the Christmas season. The Nexus sequence in particular obviously. The only thing I don't like about the score is the somewhat claustrophobic recording, and that synth-timpani thing that McCarthy uses. That has an association, for me anyway, with low-budget TV scoring. I don't think it's a good sound.

Hard to explain. But this is one of my favourite Christmas pieces ever:I like the score, but I've never particularly liked that cue. To me it sounds overly saccharine and artificial. And I always thought that was the point - I'm surprised nearly everyone else seems to love it. Do people also consider Picard's Christmas vision desirable?
