RIP.Before being a "Hollywood producer", De Laurentiis was first and foremost one of the creators of the great Golden Age of Italian cinema, producing such masterpieces like Fellini's La strada and Le notti di Cabiria, plus many other great movies by directors like Vittorio De Sica, Michelangelo Antonioni, Luchino Visconti, Elio Petri, Dino Risi and Mario Monicelli. Naïve Old Fart 6,637
Nice to see some love for "Dune" here - RIP indeed....Greg, I have loved every single crazy, sadistic, confused, beautiful, noble frame of "DUNE", since I first saw it 5 times at the cinema, in 1985-twice at The Empire, Leicester Square, once at The Plaza, Lower Regent Street (now demolished), and twice at my local flea-pit. N.B., if anyone is thinking of watching the so-called special edition:DON'T!!!!!! It's rubbish!!
