Rachael Foley 9,808 Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Any way we can get away from the ashy zombie/vampire or play-dough-y look I am here for- within reason of course.
Rachael Foley 9,808 Posted March 17 Posted March 17 @Jay did you know you can drop the ceiling on Fourth Chorus's head in Silksong!?
Jay 45,565 Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Hmmm no that doesn't ring any bells. I don't think I had too many problems with that boss
Rachael Foley 9,808 Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Yeah, my dad was doing another playthrough, struggling a bit, and noticed there were two of those red explosive thingys.
Rachael Foley 9,808 Posted March 19 Posted March 19 We have a spoiler tag for that kind of stuff you know 😒
Jim 6,258 Posted March 30 Author Posted March 30 I can get Alan Wake cheap. https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/alan-wake-2-epic-pc/GB Is this worth it? I also picked up Resident Evil 3 for three quid last week (didn't like Resi 2 remake), and now I'm trying to decide which game to play.
Rachael Foley 9,808 Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Resident Evil Revelations (finished) Resident Evil Revelations 2 (first episode half finished) Resident Evil 4 (started) Resident Evil 0 (train section finished) Resident Evil (started) Resident Evil 5 (finished Chapter 1)
Jill Sandwich 10,906 Posted March 30 Posted March 30 I can't believe I started RE9, got through about 3.5 hours of it, and I haven't touched it in several weeks because I got so swept up by the old RE novelisations, that I forgot about the game. Brand new game couldn't compete with old novels for my attention.

Rachael Foley 9,808 Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Resident Evil 2 Remake (started, got to the first typewriter)
Edmilson 11,999 Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Had a pretty badass boss fight last night between Batgirl and Harley Quinn in Gotham Knights. It was pretty fun in a "badass women beating each other with martial arts" kinda way, which was only made better by the fact that Renee Montoya was also a part of the quest. I knew I made the best choice when I chose Batgirl for this specific mission. Overall, while the game could (and should) have been a lot better, I'd be lying if I said I'm not having fun with it. It's no masterpiece, but sometimes all you need is a fun superhero game where you go through Gotham City beating up thugs.

Jim 6,258 Posted March 31 Author Posted March 31 I couldn't get into Resi 2 remake last year when I tried it, but I thought sod it tonight and gave its follow up a whirl. Holy shit I can't believe how good this game's graphics are; it's supposed to be a five year old game but it looks better than most brand new titles I've seen. Granted, I'm running it maxed out with all the shiny ray tracing effects enabled. Jill Valentine's model is exquisitely rendered; in fact all of the character models are superbly done. But the animations are also Naughty Dog levels of polish; moving the playable character through the game feels tactile and satisfying, which just on its own is reason enough for me to probably end up playing this one all the way through.
Rachael Foley 9,808 Posted March 31 Posted March 31 I picked up that one as well, just gotta finish 2 first, due to getting it via 1 dollar 14 day sub to GamePass.

Wait which game are you playing? Jill is in 3, not 2. The other one is Claire.

Side note, I actually "met" Claire's voice actress for that game, Stephanie at a Comic-Con.
Jim 6,258 Posted Wednesday at 10:30 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 10:30 PM For a game that is six years old, the character renders in the Resident Evil 3 remake are outstanding.
Jill Sandwich 10,906 Posted Wednesday at 10:33 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:33 PM Well it was 2020. Games looked good back then, too.
Jill Sandwich 10,906 Posted Sunday at 04:59 AM Posted Sunday at 04:59 AM I'm so damn stuck on RE9, I haven't made any progress in weeks. I might just have to restart it on Easy mode, because this game is friggin hard on Standard.
Sophie 35 Posted yesterday at 04:50 AM Posted yesterday at 04:50 AM Finally getting around to Gran Turismo 7. It's extraordinarily Japanese, and I love it. I'm actually catching up on a few PS4 exclusives I missed.
Jill Sandwich 10,906 Posted yesterday at 05:06 AM Posted yesterday at 05:06 AM I love playing GT4 on my PC through emulation. I've even got the Logitech wheel going.
