Well I decided to bite the bullet and order a signed copy from darkdel

Basically, the shipping is $11 either way, and while its $55 at LLL and $60 at darkdel, I figure its a wash because for an extra $5 I'm getting two signatures, and I'm guaranteeing myself a copy. I'd hate to miss out if I'm in a meeting when the ordering at LLL goes live and it seels out in an hour.

That image really makes me want this set now. I'm taking a listen to my fragmented collection and slowly being reminded of how great this music is.

Trent - remember how you're always saying "trust us, you won't regret it"? I'd highly recommend at least 'previewing' this before you dismiss it.

Although I've never heard Djawadi's scores... and listening on spotify I can already tell this may be a disc I play somewhat less. The drop in quality is quite astounding.

I've all ready heard quite a few tracks from the single releases. Like I said, I do think it's good music but it's something I'll most likely listen to only one time. I'm not into game scores like a lot of you guys are.

Plus right now I gotta be real choosy about buying CD's between now and middle of June. My girlfriend will be here June 7th through the 19th and I can't be buying expensive sets like this. Gotta have money for when she's here, she comes first before CD's.

The first 2 scores had hidden cues on each one that weren't listed.

MOH has a sound effect cue and a cue of Michael Giacchino's mom conducting the National Anthem.

The second MOH score only had one cue, but it was basically a dialogue sequence with music so no big loss.

What are you talking about?

Yeah and there is no mention of the hidden bonus track from the Frontline either. That was about 4 minutes of drunken German soldiers singing The Songless Nightingale and some other music. This stuff was used in the game at some point I guess. Not an enormous loss that one.

The length of the CDs say no. Every CD I've seen that includes hidden tracks has them included in the overall running time, regardless of whether they are hidden or not.

It's no big deal, just an observation that they weren't there.

I think the thing that appeals to me is the box set nature of it. It's a lovely presentation, very inviting to explore. I just don't know if getting to the end of it will fill me with satisfaction. I don't do video games. And I'm not sure about the other composers. I have Lennertz's Chipmunks score, but that's it.
