RANDOM WILLIAMS FAN: Yeah, and I also really like how you used Hedwig's theme in a Lydian mode toward the end of the first Potter to suggest that there's hope for the future for Hedwig and, by extension, Harry. It's kind of like when you used Yoda's theme when Luke is at Cloud City in Empire to represent Luke's training being put to use. Oh, and remember how you used Leia's theme when Obi-wan dies in Star Wars - I mean the original film, I refuse to call it A New Hope - and thereby drew attention to the connection between Leia and Obi-wan, the old ally she'd been trying to reach? Yeah, it's like that!

Even the desperate attempt to fake loss of eyesight did not release him of his godfather duties - he had to take the kid home. Again.

P.S. Every once in a while, you should look closely at some of the caption contests. I have started to embed some easter eggs here and there...

I never feel that I have the wit enough to do this sort of thing, but nonetheless...

This forum, if nothing else, manages to always caption the opposite of what I expect. I pick an image and go "hmmmmmmmmm someone is bound to caption this bit of it!" For example, not a single caption on the Asian man creeping on Liv Tyler in that image. Not a single person!

I don't mind doing that

I'm on an older monitor at work. I can't see that much detail. I'll have to look at it when I get home.

He's referring to the asian dude on left and how he's looking at Liv Tyler, while Liv and the other guy in the frame are both looking at something else

Can you tell us the ones we have missed from previous weeks?

I don't mind that oil platform investment has failed. I'll take this roughneck's daughter home, give her some elvish ears, and giggity!

I see Blume's point. I don't remember the exact sequence because it's been a while since I've seen it -- though I do like the movie -- but I don't remember the camera dwelling on the creepy guy at left as if he had lewd intentions toward Liv Tyler. But someone made a joke, and Liv went along with it as her father was busy arguing with Ben Affleck's character, which the arrival of the Japanese interrupted. Shortly afterwards, the military arrived for Bruce Willis, and he took his daughter with him. Something like that, and in typical Bay fashion, it's too quick to notice.

The point is that, you forget all of that schpiel when you pause the action on any specific frame, which creates its own situation. Blume's looking for the humor in each snapshot.

While not to drag this out anymore, yes Blume is looking for humor in each shot, which is why we are posting captions.

I'm just personally saying I don't see anything amusing or worthy of quoting with the Asian gentleman. I thought at first I missed something worthwhile and I didn't.

I thought Blume implied that he actually doctored the images to add something (beyond the text in the lower right).

What's that writing mean … Neekay … what is that, some sort of Injun talk or something?

Bastian and Falkor went on to have many other adventures together . . . until, in later years, Falkor had his flying permit revoked due to a tiny Nothing in his eye. But that is another story. . . .
