That could be cool! That big Morricone set used the best available sources for everything as far as I know, but OuaTitW doesn't sound great on it at all, I had to reexport some tracks as mono because of the insufferable stereo mix. I don't like it nearly as much as Good Bad Ugly but I could be persuaded.

The two best tracks from OUTIW exist only in mono- apparently lost when used for the forty five single.

Pretty much this! I got their G/B/U expansion a few months ago, and I currently have a 65 minute album which is mostly rather nice, although like the former it feels repetitive sometimes.

 

I'd probably find it hard to resist a new edition, if the sound is as much of an improvement as G/B/U is.

The original Pink Panther series with its 10 parts is one of the weirdest film series, that I know.

Especially the parts after Peter Sellers passed away.

I haven't seen them all, but of those that I have seen "A shot in the dark" is probably my favourite.

Some are super funny, some are just stupid.

Except for the first one I didn't pay special attention to the scores.

Never watched any of the reboots.

I felt obligated to watch the Steve Martin ones, at least no. 2, because it was directed by a Norwegian (Harald Zwart). However, the obligation ends there. The film was pants. Sad to see the otherwise excellent Steve Martin mixed up in this reboot.

Ouch. The best Peter Sellers PINK PANTHER movies are some of the best comedies of all time, IMO. I've rarely laughed more in a movie than in these. When he tries those gym bars and falls down the stairs upon dismounting, the jumping across the moat with a long stick, the biting dog that "isn't mine" etc. Iconic moments that have left me laughing on the floor.

I posted this query on FSM but thought someone here might know... Anyone know why Curse has completely different track names to the prior release?! Even more weird since that was also on Quartet so you think they'd have just kept the track names. They don't even appear to be similar. I don't understand what's weird.  When they made the last album, they didn't know the cue titles, so they made up their own

 

Now, they found the cue titles, so they used them.

The most confusing bit is that my ripping software though it's the previous release and presented me with the old track titles, and I had no idea what was happening.

 

I think some titles are even similar, but applied to different tracks.

Maybe, I just can't believe they ended up being so different... if they were somehow related to the scenes in the film, it's not unreasonable to think they'd have come up with similar track names, not ones that, if you had them side by side, you'd think they were two entirely separate track listings!

It’s essentially the soundtrack album that should have been released in 1972, but never was. (It was circulated only as an Academy promo, which paid off with a nomination for best original score).
