I'm a little confused by this. Does this mean that Danger Zone was retitled "1m2 Carrier Takeoffs & Landings" on the cue sheet? Or was the cue meant to segue into it called that - and if so then what differentiates that from 1m1 Main Title

Also in the movie I've never liked the start of Danger Zone, it always sounded like a really bad analog edit from the middle of an awesome score cue to just some rock song, they don't fit together at all. Does this mean that that was actually an intended segue?

Several cues are marked "consisting of [song element] and [repeated cue title]", so contain edited segments of songs (like Danger Zone), the "Top Gun Anthem" or "Memories" (the unedited piece which one would associate with "Goose's death theme").  Because it looked a bit messy on the post, I "tidied" it to say "includes [song element]".

Just curious where did all of the cue numbers for these seasons come from? I tried looking through some of the sources you mentioned but I couldn't find them. Only the interview and the gitf leak had any that I saw, granted I don't have access to the season 4 booklet. I find it hard to believe they all came from DW Confidential but I couldn't find anything like what you listed in the copyright databases.

Not sure if it has been mentioned before, but it is interesting that nearly all the cue lists retrieved from US Copyright Office's catalog are exclusively from Fox movies (before the acquisition).

Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008) by Andrew Lockington

A score I've always had a soft spot for. Not sure if this one has been shared here before. I mostly just have titles via BMI, but there are also a few numbers thanks to somebody back in the Shrine days (I forgot his name). The BMI titles seem to be missing punctuation here and there. Also, I believe "Lab Packing Up" and "Iceland" to possibly be the same cue.

Hmm, good point!

It has downsides though; Like say you wanted to make a big post talking about every cue in a score, and the score had 30 cues.  You wouldn't want to do 1 cue per "page", because then people would have to click 29 times to read about the last cue.  Seems like the only good use case is something that divides nicely into 3-4 pages

Break it down into # acts/# discs/scores, with each Page corresponding to an act/disc.

You could also just do 2 pages: 1st page being the introduction, 2nd page is all the rest of the post

That way you don't have to scroll through a massive wall of text if you are looking for a specific post in a thread.

I thought "More Rescue" was actually the first part (i.e. "Detention Block Ambush" or the beginning of "The Last Battle")? Or was that an error the whole time?

Looking at the sheet music, I believe you're actually correct. In which case the LTP sheets have the titles reversed. I myself was under the assumption that "The Rescue" came first, considering it's odd grammatically to have "More Rescue" come before it.

Unless the cue was written later than the other, and perhaps (unlikely) was a later decision for scoring as opposed to silence.

I agree, it is odd. Maybe Farewell is right, maybe the two cues were written in opposite order.

That's true. Still odd that the titles are switched around in the LTP.

I don't think Don Davis or Jonathan Sacks composed anything new for Toy Story 4, since all of these cues reuse material from Toy Story 3 that is credited to them.

It mostly matches with the FYC / Complete Score aside for omitting 2m01a, some slightly different track names and featuring these two additional tracks:

3m03 Teaching Montage
6m05 End Credits

Additionally I found out that a couple of unreleased tracks have been published recently:
From the album "Rarities II" we have:
Hannah (2:46)
Epilogue (6:01)

And from "12 Conversations With Thilo Heinzmann" there is:
Shell (2:33)

All these three tracks share the same melody which I think doesn't appear in the film and final score. I suspect that "Hannah" and "Epilogue" were eventually replaced in the film by Max Richter's "On the Nature of Daylight". I'd also speculate that "Shell" may be a suite of sorts, or an alternate.

Notes:

"The Archery Affair" is sorted between "Hail John" and "My Mother" in SACM, likely because it is the first (though tracked) appearance of the cue.

For some reason, "The Rock Pile" is listed twice on SACM: "ROCK PILE" followed by "ROCK PILE, THE".

Also, does anyone have a book called "Music in Disney's Animated Features"? Supposedly, it has complete cue lists for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, The Jungle Book, etc.

Interesting! So, using some simple Excel formulas, we can see that Elfman wrote about 62% of the cues, while Bacon wrote 38%.

A similar proportion can also be found on GOTG3, where Murphy wrote 63% of the cues while his other additional composers worked on 36% of them. Out of those, Paul Francis was the one who contributed the most, writing 17.8% of the cues.

I wonder if this is how it works in Hollywood these days: the main composers works on about two thirds of the score while his assistants score the other third.
