My Five Favorite scores from that list:

• "The Adventures of Tintin," John Williams, composer

• "The Greatest Miracle," Mark McKenzie, composer

• "Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol," Michael Giacchino, composer

• "Super 8," Michael Giacchino, composer

• "War Horse," John Williams, composer

Though there's no chance in hell that that those will be the 5 nominees

I wonder why Christopher Young's Priest isn't eligible?

The Adventures of Tintin,

War Horse,

W.E.,

The Greatest Miracle,

and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.

I still haven't listened to The Artist, which, I suppose, will eventually be the winner.

My prediction for the final nominees:

The Artist

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Hugo

The Ides of March (or Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close)

War Horse

My own favourite of the list:

War Horse

The Adventures of Tintin

Jane Eyre

The Iron Lady

The studio probably didn't submit it for consideration

Well, then this means that the studio did submit Tintin, and that both Tintin and War Horse could be nominated this year.

WAR HORSE

THE SKIN I LIVE IN

TINKER TAILOR SOLDIER SPY

HANNA

SANCTUM

Sanctum the film was critically mauled - no chance. Although I do really like Hirshfelder's score.

My predictions:

War Horse

The Ides of March

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Hugo

The Artist

And I'd be very happy with either of the first two winning, and satisfied with Hugo.

The Artist and Tatoo are at completely opposite ends of the stylistic spectrum, and I don't like either, but I have a horrible feeling one will win.

Yes Indeed, I don't think a score cannot be nominated unless the studio submits it for consideration. But JW has 0 chances of winning this year, so he might as well get 2 nominations
