I like Aubrey and Maturin. Although Maturin is Irish.

I didn't know about Sharpe. Sounds like a nice counterpoint to my Aubreys and Hornblowers. I'll check it out.

As for the guys in the article. The Doctor isn't British but whatever. Harry Potter is out before even starting to think. Not a fan of 007. Holmes rocks when he's not getting high or doing something crazy or being a prick.

Harry potter isn't a British hero, he's a wizard or something. King Arthur are better than this "wizard". At least he has the Excalibur sword and a castle.

Potter deserves to be among the list. Sherlock Holmes deserves to be on this list.

Bond and the Doctor, naturally.

Pffrt. This list is already set to fail because they didn't include Mr. Bean
