crocodile 7,990
I really enjoyed reading this review, KK (among other reviews of yours). I can't, however, agree with that Elfman's theme is in any way iconic. In fact, I find it incredibly weak. and not it any way it defines Spider-Man to me. It is used and developed in an impressive fashion in these score, but, as a standalone idea, remains completely uninteresting and unmemorable. I said this already, but many people have a problem with pointing which idea is it. I myself think there are far more interesting things in there than this theme. And this is coming from someone who really likes Elfman's works.Karol
Brónach 1,301
I don't think it's "iconic", although fans of the film or film scores would recognize it.
crocodile 7,990
Yeah, we had that conversation two or three times already. Karol
KK 3,307
First of all, thanks for the comments croc. Second, while the theme is not particularly hummable, it is instantly recognizable, even in the mainstream. Just play a bit of the main theme to any guy coming out of the cinema and they'll probably instantly recognize it as Spiderman (unless they've never watched the films). The same probably can't be said for Horner's great theme though.
