Bond expanded soundtracks

For any one who is into Goldeneye, be sure to check out Le Femme Nikita's score. I didn't see that mentioned.

All of John Barry's Bond music is such a high achievement in film scoring. But that doesn't have to make them my favorite.

I'm sorry I repeat myself, but that someone might consider GoldenEye in the same class as Thunderball ... I cannot find the words.

Is it really so hard to accept that people have varying tastes in music? That it's possible for someone to love John Williams and Hans Zimmer equally? Or say Lady Gaga and Frank Sinatra?

TND was expanded, so was Casino Royale. QOS is almost complete. I think one cue is missing and some source music.

TND - I missed out on that one. I'm not paying like 100 bucks for it like the sellers on ebay want.

Casino - Yeah, but I'd like a legit complete.

Same goes for TWINE.

Quantum was complete - except for the Gunbarrel, but I have a rip from the bluray that goes fine enough with it.

QOS didn't have the gun barrel, the end title track, source cues and a short cue were Bond escapes from CIA agents. (after his chat in the bar with Leiter)

Crawl, End Crawl is on itunes, but I didn't notice that the cue you mentioned was missing. I don't care for source cues.

I'd be very happy with an expanded TSWLM. Not too fussed about Licence to Kill. I'm not all that impressed with the music on the current CD release, so unless the unreleased cues are significantly different I'll probably pass on any expanded release. (No I wouldn't, who am I kidding...)

In spite of the dreadful song (music AND lyrics) and it's over-use throughout the score, I'd still welcome an expanded release of TMWTGG. There's so much great music in there.

Also I wish they'd rerelease Casino Royale and include the movie version of the Cornell song. Apparently it's never had an official release yet, and it's by far the best version of that song. It really needs to be on the soundtrack CD, especially as it's quoted throughout the score.

Speaking of song quotations, I wonder why Arnold didn't quote the Die Another Day theme song in the score. It would just be one note repeated over and over... ;)

The DVD had the isolated score, so there are bootlegs en masse.

And they did the same again for Skyfall. the song is not on the CD. Which is just stupid!

He's talking about legally owning the Chapter III release, which is now OOP

TND's isolated score is great to have, but it has a lot of unfortunate film edits, and one oddly present sound effect. I wish the Chapter III release could've been more of a Volume Two or a true Expanded Edition; instead it straggled the line and ended up as neither. Still glad it came out out, though. It was worth the price (the original price, anyway) for "Bike Chase" alone. But I'd love to have a complete 2-disc set.

Licence to Kill is still my most wanted rerelease, though. No, it probably wouldn't blow any minds, but a proper presentation of the full score would be a vast improvement over the curiously assembled and crudely edited album. And surely there's at least some demos of whatever Clapton, Flick, & Kamen were working on.

About a decade ago i did the painstaking job of trying to correct the volume shifts and edits from the iso score and combine them with the music from the 2 legit releases.

Still rather pleased with my work

What are you talking about? The Chapter II release contains a wealth of unreleased music. So it's a proper expanded release.

Its Sony's fault. Before they became producing partners with Casino Royale, the score would just be on whatever label the singer was to avoid any issues. Now that Sony is involved though, god forbid they don't release the score on their own label.

Yep.

The strange thing is that Adele IS on Sony... at least in the US. Her original label is an independent one in the UK though.

Exactly. I have the DVD-Iso, but like previously stated, there are volume issues and such.
