Mr. Brown 91
I wouldn't mind that. He'd make an interesting-looking Bond villain, as Bardem was. Good actor, too.I just hope the character is engaging, above all. Not just another black guy playing an African arms dealer or drug lord. It gets a little boring after a while. Richard Penna 3,676
An actor or actress gets showered with praise for a role, and suddenly every director under the sun wants them for their name-power.If it turns out to be a good character, then that's some justification, but it shouldn't just be because they're the flavour of the month. And fair enough - it may be that he's a really good actor (12 Years is on my rental list), but I reserve that scepticism. #SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,265
I agree with Richard. They pulled that same trick with View To A Kill, hiring Christopher Walken to play the villain just because he shot to fame in Deerhunter!

Sweeping Strings 2,346
Read an interview with Walken recently in which he mentioned that he had a conversation with Roger Moore during the making of AVTAK about how he'd played a lot of characters who had met onscreen ends, about which Moore wistfully asked 'What's that like?' ... a consequence of Moore's continual casting in leading man/hero parts who tended to make it to the end of the movie still alive. Sir Hilary Bray 235
Never thought about that. I think it's Sea Wolves that might be the only film of his I've seen where he dies (if not off-screen as he ends severely wounded).

Sharkissimo 1,973
Apparently several Scandinavian actresses are being screentested for a role in Bond 24, all of them blondes. According to The Wrap, the producers are looking for a 'Scandinavian with a troubled past who will serve as a brief love interest for Bond.'Here they are:Ingrid Bolsø Berdal (34)Synnøve Macody Lund (38)Birgitte Hjort Sørensen (32)
Dixon Hill 4,233
Second to last picture should seal that casting deal. Also, only a brief love interest? They're really trying something different with this one, huh?

Sharkissimo 1,973
Bond 24 to shoot in Rome?Luciano Sovena, president of Roma Lazio Film Commission, said: "I met with the producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson and we discussed the project. One of the highlight scenes, among the most spectacular in the movie, will be a car chase in Via Quattro Fontane. They point us much, I'm already excited. I hope that streamlines common procedures for granting permits. It would be a shame to miss this great opportunity because of the bureaucracy. "And he added:" Hosting the epic film 007 is part of the strategy of Roma Lazio Film Commission that it intends to attract large foreign productions in the region, tearing studios in Europe and encourage Italian independents.
