Omen II 1,235
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will be giving a concert of John Barry's film music, under the baton of Nic Raine, at the Guildhall in Portsmouth (UK) in October. Details and tickets are at:http://www.portsmouthguildhall.org.uk/events/royal-philharmonic-orchestraThe programme looks like it will include a few rarities among the usual suspects, including Barry's popular The Black Hole and Moonraker. Omen II 1,235
The great Telly Savalas, of Kojak fame, once spake "So long, Portsmouth, here's looking at you!", to the delight of several. Well, if Portsmouth is too far or too nautical for you, the RPO will be performing the same Barry-based programme the following day at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Here is a link to the ticket details:http://www.royalalberthall.com/tickets/royal-philharmonic-orchestra/john-barry/default.aspxSo the old venue will resonate to the sounds of Barry on the Friday and Elfman on the Monday!
