The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will be giving a concert of John Barry's film music, under the baton of Nic Raine, at the Guildhall in Portsmouth (UK) in October. Details and tickets are at:

The programme looks like it will include a few rarities among the usual suspects, including Barry's popular The Black Hole and Moonraker.

The great Telly Savalas, of Kojak fame, once spake "So long, Portsmouth, here's looking at you!", to the delight of several. Well, if Portsmouth is too far or too nautical for you, the RPO will be performing the same Barry-based programme the following day at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
