Your favorite John Williams pictures

That is an awesome picture.

I never really liked the picture of him on the main JWFAN banner though - he looks a little pissed off there. I much prefer the picture of him in the same pose but he's smiling.

Well, it's not really a picture but a painting, but I think my favourite is this which is featured in the Spielberg/Williams collaboration cd:

He seems such a warm person, like a storyteller or like the grandpa we would like to have. :)

I especially like photos from his office at home:

I wish I knew which scores he was working on in those pics.

Those are excellent photos. The one with Maestro and Spileberg is a great one. I love the raptor behind the grand piano. A nice touch. :P

This is from the photographers website, so it is the best quality available. Shall I write to them and ask if HD quality versions are for sale for this photoshoot? :)

Whilst I can't add any photos to this thread, I must say I look forward to seeing what others are able to post. Great thread.

I Asked Art Streiber for a quotation regarding a print.

They sent me a listing, the cheapest option is: "8X10 unframed $800".

I think I'll keep it at my low res print...

Yikes!

My thought as well...

"30x40 unframed $2,400"

Apparantly the photographer will sign the photo.

For that price, I would at least expect a signature from Spielberg, Williams, the Pope and Obama. Maybe Jesus too.

Fair enough. I will convey your message to the Art Streiber management.

Great picture of John Williams and family having dinner at the Brown Derby in 1950-something. pic.twitter.com/VHgorH7iut

Fantastic! Thanks for sharing. Based on the age of the children, this must be later than the 1950s. I'm guessing 1963 or thereabouts. John is obviously at the right, then I'm guessing Mark (some 5 years old), followed by Barbara Ruick with Jennifer (some 7 years old) on her lap. The woman and girl after that, I'm not sure about (the woman does not look like Joan, John's sister), but I'm guessing they are the wife and child of brother Jerry Williams, who's next in line. The woman on the left, I'm not sure about. Doesn't really look like Esther (Williams' mom), nor Joan.

Joseph (some 3 years old, if my timeframe is correct) is not seen in the picture.

Yeah, that's the first current picture I've seen of Jerry (the last one I saw was from the late 70s or early 80s). I didn't even know if he was alive or not. Very cool!

We mostly see younger brother Don in the percussion section, but as the IMDB profile shows -- Jerry's been working the stage on his older brother's scores too, all the way up to WAR HORSE (maybe he even worked on TFA?).

Request: does anyone have this picture in better quality? Would be great as this is obviously one of the coolest photos ever taken of the maestro.

It's not a photo until I took a screenshot, but my favorite Williams appearance I could think of is when he does this at the end of the Across the Stars music video:

Untitled.jpg

This is Williams' massive orchestral blowout face.
